Hi all
Sorry..I know there are a gazillion HRM questions. I wasn't able to find what I was looking for in the other threads. I'd like to buy a HRM but it's a little confusing and I don't want to break the bank either.
Yesterday I bought a Sportline S12 (60 dollars at Walmart Canada) that says on the box that it has a HRM and calorie counter BUT it appears that the calorie counter only works for the pedometer part of the watch. Does this sound right or am I missing something?
Thanks for your help

Is it possible that the counter/burner part only works with the pedometer? I know nothing about HRM's so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this thing is made for walker/runners.
Any input would be helpful.

even a peep would be good! lol0

For a HRM to calculate you calories based on your heart rate it needs a chest strap. If it does not have one, its can't do it.
Here is a good link:

It sounds like your HRM will not work for what you want.0 -
