I was just wondering if there's a way to search for the right kind of wieght training exercises in the data base 'cause I find there's alot of basic exercises either missing or not well listed. Any suggestions?

I just found a pretty good one: "http://www.nutristrategy.com/caloriesburned.htm"
Lots and lots of activities and it divides it up by your weight doing them for an hour.
How does that sound? Have fun! ;):drinker: (lots of water)

The database is mostly made up of other MFP members inputted info. Most of the time I have to "google" the name of the exercise with the words "calories burned", and you will often get a link somewhere to a calculator (be careful of the sites just trying to sell you something). Once you have the info you can input it as one of "your exercises", so you won't have to re-input it again. I think MFP then sweeps these entries every once and a while and adds them to their general database so everyone can access from the general database (not sure how they verify it).

    Strength training in database:

Even though it is anaerobic, enter it as Cardio, then if nothing comes up under "Search our exercise database by name:" -click "Can't find what you're looking for? Add an exercise to the database"

Then you will be able to edit your calories burned for the exercise. Everyone is different on calorie burn/activity level/time between sets, weight amounts etc, so you need to have your own calorie count entered - it's not a One-Size-Fits-All thing.
