good antioxidants and helps speed metabolism among a lot of other things. When I was sick and drinking like 3-4 cups a day it helped clear my skin0

it gives you energy, is only 1 calorie a cup and it raises your metabolism - I like mine with lemon0

green tea is an anti-oxidant and does help boost your metabolism a bit...I took weight-concious vitamins that contained green tea for a while...my fav is Lipton diet green tea with citrus...I did see that v8 now has a v8 fusion green tea line with rhaspberry, pomegranate or pineapple flavors that I might try soon : )0

HHmmmm, I never thought of adding lemon....that might help a lot.....0

It's very good for you for the reasons listed and you may not be enjoying the flavour because it's been overbrewed. You should not leave a green tea tea bag (or loose leaf tea) in to brew for any longer than 2min otherwise it gets very bitter.0

The trick with Green Tea is to pour the water over the bag just BEFORE the water boils. If you wait to boil, it burns the delicate baby green leaves.
Then only steep for one minute to 90 seconds max.
Then you eliminate the bitter taste.0 -
Lemon helps with taste and your metabolism. I also read somewheres that drinking 7 cups of green tea (without sugar) can help burn an extra 50 calories a week- not much but hey every penny...er...calorie counts :laugh:0

Green tea is really good for you as it's a natural bioactive food - it has weak thermogenic effects and so consequently raises your energy consumption, and drinking it consistently has been linked in research studies to a reduced level of visceral fat. I like it with lemon in - tasty and good for you! It's also a good antioxidant and anticarcinogenic. Win win!0
