I don't lose any weight for maybe 2 weeks and all of a sudden i notice i lost 2lbs...do you have the same experience?

Replies

  • Yes, that happens a lot. I can go as many as 3 weeks with little or no change and then have a sudden drop.

It has happened to me before. Just recently actually. I lost 1/2 a pound one day after not having lost for weeks, and then consecutively I weighed a good 2 pounds less on two different days (I re-weighed to make sure it wasn't a fluke). If you are a lady, especially, water can sometimes hang around and mask loss as it happens, and then when you aren't hanging on to the water, you see the loss...

yes the loss seems to come suddenly and erratically.. heres my scale story for you

i have a scale thats about 20 years old. when i point it north i weigh 5 pounds less than when i point it south... i got two responses when i queiried this:

    1. from my husband- are you sure you werent standing on a compass
    2. from a friend... try standing east and west maybe youll lose 10 pounds!

    time for a new scale/compass

your weight can vary from 3 to 5 lbs. depending on so many factors (food, water, retention of water, muscle gain or no bowl movement). The scales are not as accurate as ppl give them credit. I would suggest taking measurements atleast once a month. ex: one month i only loss one pound, although lost 12" from different points on my body.
