I'm 34 and I love going to shows. I normally like buy a concert tee as a souvenir. My boyfriend thinks I'm too old to wear these and gives me so much crap about it. Am I too old? I'm not a fancy girl to begin with so I'm normally in a tshirt anyway. Besides, I have awesome taste in music so It's not like I'm running around in Mariah Carrey shirts or something.

I only wear them to concerts. They would make great gym-wear.

Considering I'm wearing a concert t-shirt right now and I'm 35, and I'll be going out in public here shortly, I'd say your boyfriend needs to chill out. ;)

My personal opinion, I don't like concert tee's, despite how cool a band might be. Besides I don't like the way they fit, their too baggy/unflattering. I can't really think of anyone that I think looks good in a concert tee due to how baggy they are.
  • No way are you too old! I plan on wearing my concert tees until I die :)

I would totally be rocking my U2 t-shirts from their current tour if I could fit them! I figured a women's large would fit, but it's outrageously tiny. :(
  • HAHAHAHHA 46 here and still love wearing concert tees and i dont plan on stopping

I don`t see what difference it makes nor why he would care.
Does he wear anything with a sports team logo on it?

touch an go. If you wear it well, and wear it to the show, then I think it's fine, but concert tee's are best worn at the concert or around the house. Just MHO. I also think it depends on the shirt, if it's a crazy iron maiden shirt from the 80's (remember those tee's, they were creepy, even then) then I think you're over doing it, but if it's a little more laid back, maybe a front left breast logo and something on the back, then It's probably fine.

I'll be 39 in a few months, and I wear Hello Kitty t-shirts, so I obviously don't think there's any "too old" for anything!

Sometimes I wear my Monkees 1986 reunion tour tee. It was my very first concert and it still fits. Actually fits better now than it did then. I have more to put in a tee now!

Never!! I'm almost 30 and I'm sportin' my concert tees...if you were wearing justin bieber t-shirts or g-unit ones, then maybe  but nobody can diss you about your awesome wintersleep t-shirt or Juliet Lewis and the Licks

Hmm, I do think it depends on the artist. I would never rock a Justin Bieber shirt. LOL I would wear it tucked in with a good belt and boots.

That is an excellent point. We both wear sports crap but it's ok to tease me about my Tom Petty-American Girl shirt??

And just so everyone knows, he's not mean about it, he's a good guy. He is younger than me so he enjoys giving me a hard time about stuff. Tomorrow I will be rockin the Ryan BIngham and the Dead Horses shirt.

Your boyfriend isn't the one who is wearing them, so he shouldn't care.

    Wear them with pride!

I don't think it matters. I am 25 and I wear band tees all the time. I'm just a jeans and tee/cardigan type of girl. I literally have one drawer full of JUST my favorite band that I have collected over the years at shows and then another drawer for others!

They make cute girly cut tees now but I don't like how I look in them (maybe after a few more lbs lost, I won't have a problem with them) I am fairly short and feel that youth larges fit me well... they are cut short and wide.. like me =)

Just don't wear the band's tee to the concert you are going to!! (PCU anyone?)

ahhahaaaa!!! i think if it fits, you can wear it. the problem i have is when 40-year-old women are still wearing daisy dukes & belly shirts - with all kinds of "stuff" spilling all out of/over them. yuk!

I know someone....ugh...mental picture. 50 something wearing daisy dukes & bikini and looks like her skin used to belong to stay puff marshmallow man after being toasted and then deflated, cuz she lives at the tanner.
