Hey guys, just found this site last night (love the iphone app ..) and wanted to say hello :)
Hoping to get back on track as I am slowly slipping into oblivion, only need to lose around 8kg which doesnt sound a lot but losing a little is the hard part, very slow weight loss with low motivation :(
Im a busy person so I've been slipping at the gym - anybody else in a similar place??

  • I am in a similar place as you. I have bought DVDs to do in my apartment when I have a spare 30 minutes. It's easier than getting in the car to go to the gym. If you have the opportunity, try and walk more as well.

Add me if you want some extra support.
  • Hello, I am busy too: work full time and have children. i am just so tired I dont feel like going to the gym after work. Add me if you want.

    Hello!!!

I am new here as well if you want plz feel free to add me!!
  • Hi there,

I am in a similar place right now. I have been going to the gym consistently for about a year now and I am just burnt out of going to the gym! But, I have found other ways to get my exercise in. I walk on all of my breaks, I use my son as arm weights and I play the X-Box Kinect. As long as I am not in the gym, I am happy. I know that it is harder to lose the last few pounds than anything else. I have 15 more pounds to go before I reach my goal, but it is hard getting there. There only thing that works is discipline. Good luck on your journey.

Connect to others on this board and try to set up commitments together with them.
This could be something simple like "going to workout for 45min. today - who's with me?"

Or even a whole "milestone system"; small weight steps until the long-term goal is reached.
One could schedule this milestones to the same date and keep the motivation up together

I'm always interested in giving support and sharing thoughts

The first step is done! You registered at MFP and made your first post.

hey all - thank you for your posts and support :)

I hope this is an inspirational community - already I have started feeling guilty about the lack of weight-losing exercise I do, even though I work full time, have 2 paper runs, spend my Saturdays bbqing for charity and barely have enough time to scratch myself!

I am hoping that I can gain the inspiration I need to start running again from here - there is always time to do everything you want to do but it's just gettin around the excuses you make!
