chicken skewers with sauce on the side
    steamed dumplings
    steamed or broiled fish

Just look for things that don't have sauce. Things like Pad Thai are pretty high in calories. Its like chinese- you can order steamed chicken with broccoli and do fine, or order moo shoo or general tsao's chicken and eat your daily amount of cals in one sitting! Just pick the cleanest things on the menu, and you'll be fine!

Is it a chain restaurant? If so, find out the name and see if they have NI online that you can look at before you go!

Oooh yes, I second this. This is quite good and no starches and not fried in oil.

My favs are the garlic pepper chicken and the grilled teriyaki salmon with the sauce on the side. Both are usually served with jasmine rice and steamed vegies. I leave most of the rice on the plate. Most Thai food doesn't have the MSG and soy sauce that is in other asian style foods.

My favorite thai place has a dish called rama jay which is steamed vegetables and soft tofu topped with a peanut sauce. I order it with the peanut sauce on the side-- it is very flavorful, so a little of it goes a long way, and I never end up using more than one quarter of the amount that they would have put on it if I hadn't requested it on the side.
