Does anyone use this? I picked up a container of it today because I read that increasing protein after workouts helps. I tried to make a drink with it (using only water) and I thought it was so gross!! What do you all do with your protein powders to make them more palatable?

Throw in some frozen berries and a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon to help make up for the missing sugar. If you want to sweeten it, you can try stevia. It's natural and the health food stores have it.0

I haven't done this in a long time, but I used to start my morning with a bowl of oatmeal with a little protein powder in it. You cannot even tell that you are having protein powder and it makes the oatmeal even better for ya!! I may start doing this again.... :P0

I use it. I put one scoop with water in a blender, along with some frozen berries. When its blended it tastes like a smoothie. It's the only way I can drink the stuff.0

I use almond milk, it tastes much better than using water.0

Stevia is the same thing as Truvia, right? I do have some Truvia.0

Well I just can't use water and I don't drink milk so I use no sugar added fruit juice. I use whey protein and have grown to truly love it. I know there are still alot of calories in juice but I can't drink it any other way and I drink a shake after every work out in the morning.0

I have that one the chocolate. I can't stand it with water. I'm not a huge breakfast fan so about half the week I whip it up with milk, frozen banana, and sometimes a T of peanut butter. I do like the pure protein without her and it has more protein. Mixes with water better and cheaper.
I also drink one after a workout.
Good luck. They are good for you.0 -
I love the JM protein powders. I use 2 scoops in my smoothie, with a half cup unsweetened almond milk, half cup of water, and a serving of frozen fruit, ..if i skip out on the fruit i add ice. I dont like the chocolate one with anything cept ice and water, or almond milk. Definately make sure you make your smoothie in a blender...gets out any powder chunks.0

I love her protein powders. I eat them as my lunch, after my morning workout. I mix one scoop with greek yogurt and a few berries, or else I make a smoothie. Today I didn't have time to sit down and eat lunch, so I made up a smoothie of the following:
1 c kefir
1 c greek yogurt
1 c frozen blueberries
1 scoop protein powder
Blend it together - it was 400 protein packed calories, really a solid lunch. I normally do half the amount of all for a small smoothie as a treat after a really hard workout.
I do drink in water once in awhile, normally if I workout really late at night. Then it's just drinkable..0 -
