Fluctuating Numbers!!

So I've been doing this diet solid for about 2 months now and perhaps I've gotten to a stand still? I've been trying to up the number of times I work out but I haven't really changed what I do in the workout.
I weighed myself on Wednesday and it said I lost two pounds, I was surprised by this as I had eaten crap all weekend and previously the scale said I gained 2lbs. (My parents came to visit and took me out a few times) When I saw it said I lost 2lbs almost 3, I assumed I must have been bloated from the weekend and my body had readjusted itself.
I recently went to work out again today and weighed myself. This time it said I gained 2lbs again! Having been excited about the recent weight loss I went out last night for a friends 21st. I had one drink and ate one slice of pizza. Could this really have affected my weight that much. I mean I know we are only talking 2 lbs but I don't want to be stuck in this rut for another week!
I would love any advice or suggestions you may have.

I have a question when are you weighing yourself? In the morning or evening?0

it takes 3500 calories to add a pound or loose a pound. Depending on the foods you've been eating it could be water hanging around.0

Patience. Don't stress. Just keep doing what you're doing for weight loss. Or increase the intensity at which you do them. Try including something different with your workouts. These are all just general tips. If the scale is fluctuating that doesn't mean you've come to a stall, since the numbers are still moving in some general direction. If it moves one way, you can definitely move it the other way.0

Always weigh yourself at the same time of day and with similar clothing on. I tend to do mine in the morning right before I jump in the shower for work.0

I really don't think so. You may hold on to sodium, bloating up alittle when you eat a salt laden food or drink. It's not possible to gain 2 pounds in a day unless you eat 7000 calories over and above your requirements. Since your weight loss is slowing a bit, it might be better on you mentally if you weight just once a week for a while. And do yourself a favor and eat really clean the day before and the day of your weigh in!
Two months seems to be the mark for alot of folks when they see their weight loss stall alittle (including me). Keep up all your hard work and it WILL pay off! (I just hate it though when I don't see a slight loss every day!! LOL)0 -

I was told by a trainer that the body gets used to the same workout, therefore, you won't really lose the weight. you have to change it up. elyptical machines are good! i see the same issue with me. i can eat good, then gain weight. i eat bad and i lose. makes sense!!! good luck!!0

Hey, another LS article reader...and possible user? I use it. In fact, it's my main calorie tracking site.0
