For some reason, I keep getting an error when I try to post to my blog so I am posting here...

I Hate Eating!!!

Yeah, so how did someone who hates eating get fat? Easy, I would starve myself for a day or so then eat a pizza. Then go to bed. Wake up feeling guilty so I starve again for a day or two then chow on a greasy burger and fries. With a side of mayo. Wash, rinse, repeat, FAT. I hate eating though and I hate thinking about food. Not enough protein, fiber, calcium; too much fat, sodium, carbs? It takes so long. I can drag out a salad for a whole hour. I don’t eat cereal because it is soggy by the third bite. Eating is exhausting.

I have lost weight before, and I did it by eating more...the horror! My brain knows that if I eat smaller meals, more often that my metabolism will work better. The problem is, is that by the time I finish eating, it feels like it is time to eat again. Also, the more I eat, the hungrier I feel and the more I think about the fact that I would rather be eating pizza than fish. I guess this explains why I am consistently either WAAAAAYYYY over my calories for the day or WAAAAAYYYYY under.

I am physically hungry right now and over the past four hours I have had a bowl of raw veggies, a fiber one bar and a lean cuisine. Maybe I need to make my little meals a little bigger, maybe I need more protein; I have no idea. All I know is that it is almost time to eat again and I am dreading it.

You have a psychological block you need to resolve. This is not good. Eat smaller meals more often - and stuff you like! You should be looking forward to your next meal because it's tasty.

Porridge with fruits and honey is unbeatably delicious for me. I also stick 8 chicken thighs in the oven with some herbs for 40mins and keep them in the fridge. I snack on them when I am peckish. Have you tried that? Just snacking on pre-prepared food and not making a big deal out of a sit-down dinner?

I'm no expert but i'm seeing an eating disorder here, you're clearly aware of your problems regarding food, but have you considered seeking professional help (dietician/counsellor|) to support you as you work on reducing your weight, this site is a good general support and will help you chart your calories and progress, but what it can't do is get to the real root of the problem. Good luck...

I got to the same point a few months ago. All I did was think about food, protein, every three hours, sodium, fat, sugar, aaarghh!!!!!!!!

The eating 3hrs is only one way to go. Have you looked at leangains or eat stop eat. They're both types of intermittent fasting. I do lean gains at the moment and I have to say it's really working for me and such a relief from constantly thinking about food. Google them and see what you think.

OMG! I love everything about eating, the preparation, the cooking, the smells, the taste the textures, seriously how does one not love food.

I respectfully think you need some counseling and some info on the proper foods to eat. You are getting fat because you are eating unhealthy fattening food and also ones body needs movement. We were not meant to sit and stare at a computer screen and tv all day! I can recommend a good book called Thin so Fast! It also explains why we are getting fat and how to combat it. I wish you much future success. Food is good, it's the only fuel your body can use to sustain life. No food, no life. The right foods and movement = a happy healthy life. It's true!
