Can't do this alone....

Time to admit that lurking in the community isn't working. I was going along fine for awhile and have veered off in the past two weeks. Barely exercising and not logging my food. I'm grateful that I've ony hit a plateau with my weight loss but for me this is about making changes that continue.
I hope to connect with some of you out there & appreciate all you share here on the forums. I am committed to joining in as often as I can. So far today I am back on track.....

stay focused. Keep logging and get up and move. You can't give up now.
I log every bite I put in my mouth and it keeps me honest.
I drank some wine last night and logged every ouch of it.
You have to.0 -
Make freinds... send friend requests!
You cannot do it alone, and either you have great supportive people at home and dont need us here ... or you need some online help too. I for one know that I couldnt do it without my friends here. They arent just online people, I find myself getting invested in their lives (and hopefully they are invested in mine).
My friends are the greatest -- I would be happy to be your friend, I could always use more friends!0 -
You are welcome to add me as a friend! It's easier with the support from others in the same situation!0

I can totally relate to what you said. I do well one day and the next I eat everything in site. My only consistency is exercise which I am doing regularly. So, I have been stuck at an 11 pound weight loss for the past three weeks and I am frustrated with myself for overeating. The evenings are the worst for me. During the day at work, I have great control...the evenings...NOT! At 55 years old, the weight just doesn't come off as quickly as it used to. I am here for you and will support you! Feel free to add me as a friend! Good luck.0

It always helps to know you have others in your corner supporting you. Please feel free to add me as a friend.0

Nope, you can't. The whole world wants us to keep going on status quo, it helps them feel ok about their behavior. You need a close knit group that can tell you the truth. Here's the truth. Not logging your food doesn't mean you didn't eat it. I know what lack of motivation is like, and how it feels to eat that gertrude hawk chocolate pretzel last week that I should not have eaten. I logged it and in black and white saw what it did to an otherwise very successful food and exercise day. Yuck...not doing that again. You'll see that logging in even your mistakes helps. Helps you to really see where your calories are going.
I'm going to be bold and add you as a friend. I am struggling too at times, but I don't want to be patrionized either... Sometimes family pats me on the back and says, "oh Mom, you are a great person don't worry about your weight" or a wonderful boyfriend who tells me I'm beautiful regardless. Those are all wonderful things, but I need someone to kick my butt and be honest with me.
Here anytime you need :flowerforyou:

Hey don't despair, you're still here and that's an accomplishment in itself. The fact that you're still here proves that you want to do this. Don't be overwhelmed and take baby steps, remember if you do badly today, the next meal or tomorrow is a new beginning a chance to get it right. Even if you only get one thing right in a day, cherish that one thing and strive to do 2 tomorrow. Friends definately help, being honest in logging the food you eat is absolutely crucial, you're not fooling anyone so take responsibility you may find that when you commit to putting everything down you rethink your choices. I like to read about the successes on the boards it gives me additional motivation. You don't have to be in this alone, reach out to friends they'll help you thought this. Feel free to friend me if you'd like. Good luck in your journey and remember one day at a time!0

Hello, like you I have finally admitted to myself that I can't do this by myself. Unfortunately, I don't have the support at home that I need, not to put down my family. Anyway, hopefully, I will find it here from people going through the same struggles and triumphs. Good luck.0
