Hey everyone, I'm not a big poster on these message boards but I do go through and read quite a bit. I just wanted to share a little of my success. I was about 230 lbs (at a height of 5'9") in early December and decided to make a life change. I've always been a bigger/muscular guy and had kicked around the idea of getting in better shape but I never really made the time for myself. I made the decision to commit to changing myself and making better use of the free time that I do have. I began with 15 min on our elliptical machine that was gathering dust in our bedroom and watching what I ate. I joined mfp in early February after finding the app on my iphone. I'm now at 205 lbs and am feeling better than I have in years. I don't really consider what I'm doing a "diet". It's more of a shift in philosophy and priorities. My pants (originally a tight 36 or a 38) have been getting increasingly loose on me so I went out shopping today. I am typing this wearing my new size 34 jeans that actually fit nicely. Hopefully these will be a transitional pair as I move along to something even smaller although I am very happy with this new body. Just wanted to share this little story and hopefully provide some motivation to others who are fighting the same battle!

Thanks guys. It's been a long time since I wore this size. I wore a 36 in high school an I'm 34 now. I really honestly cannot remember wearing a 34 ever. I threw my old 36's out tonight as well (they really needed to go)! I'm not going back.0

Just re-read that. I meant 34 years old. As in I haven't worn this size in like 20 years.0
