I might be a little too ambitious but I want to go from 155lbs. to around 110-120 lbs. before June. Please help support me to reach this goal
I'm going to graduate and attend my sister's wedding in June. I want to look the best I possibly can for me, sister and my expecting nephew or niece.

Hi ,
Me too but I want to get to about 135lbs and I am 154lbs at moment....and would love to reach it for my birthday in April...so If I can do it by April you can defo do it by June0 -
Good luck!! I just joined today. I am 33 and just had my 3rd child in December and weigh more now than i ever have (not being pregnant). I would like to shed at least 15 by May and then another 15 by August or September. Maybe we can keep each other accountable.0

I'm 167 lbs but my goal is to hit atleast 145lbs by my youngest daughters birthday July 8th. I'm pretty sure I can do it. I know what I need to do its just making sure I keep going and not giving up. Actually I was 167 last I checked on my scale like 4 days ago. I'm not going to check how much I weight again till maybe about 4 days from now. I wish you luck and keep up the motivation.0

Hey. i have been on this site a long time. I am smaller and don't have a lot to lose BUT I would just like to say that often it takes weeks-months just to get your body used to taking in smaller portion sizes, drinking more water on a day to day basis and putting your body through a detox so to speak.
Now when I say detox i do NOT mean go on a lemon detox diet or anything stupid like that. I just mean, limiting the bad foods until you virtually don't / can't eat them anymore. 1st you will crave the foods and then your body will eventually become so used to being without excess fats and oils that you will only be able to stomach just a bit at a time or you'll feel sick.
To be reasonable, to lose weight healthily and keep it off (and lets be serious here- we want to keep the weight off) You will only really be able to lose around 1 pound/ 0.5 kg per week. I am small and so i weigh in every 2 or 4 weeks as it helps not be obsessed with what the scales say everyday. last month I lost around 2 kg.
Obviously the bigger you are the more weight you can potentially lose, but be very reasonable about it as setting your expectations high can result in disappointment and cause you to give up.
it is a long and hard process, it takes time, hard work, discipline and dedication to work toward an achievable goal.
It is great that you are here and want to do this, but be reasonable on yourselves.
One tip for continued weight loss is to start your exercise program small and work up over 2+ or so months. Start off with a half hour walk 3x per week then make the walks longer, and then increase the number of walks per week. Then start with turning 1 walk into a run, and then 2 walks into runs, or a bike ride. You need to stagger it or your body will get used to the same workout and your weigh loss will plateau eventually no matter how well you eat.
Also eat a minimum of 1200 calories per day. Your body will stop losing weigh if you eat less as it will think you are starving it.
Good luck guys. I hope these tips will help you stay realistic in the goal to lose weight healthily and effectively, ad of course- Keep it off!!0 -
I'm a short girl.. so although 123 doesn't sound like a lot of weight, I'm trying to get down to 115, because my clothes just don't look good on my anymore. Maybe we can all push each other to get where we wanna go.0
