Hello everyone. I'm a 27 year old lady from the south. I have some weight that I need to lose like the rest of you! I finally got the guts to weigh myself on February 17th and weighed in at 165lbs. I'm 5'9 1/2. I've never been this big, somehow managed to pack on 10lbs in Nov/Dec. I blame it on stress, fast food and not working out at all. I really want to get to 130-140lbs as soon as possible. I miss my old pants. So far I've cut the fast food out! Joined a gym 2 weeks ago. Wish me luck. Would love to make some friends.

    I get a book out to read when I eat, helps a lot, although not very social!

  • Wow, thank you guys! I didn't even expect to get a reply. Thank you for the advice too. I don't really have too much of a problem with over eating. I just had a problem with ONLY eating fast food and sitting on my butt. I really let myself go! =( I want to look great for the summer and never let this happen again. I know for my height that I'm not that bad but I'm not happy. I'm definitely not in any danger if I lose 20lbs or so. Not sure why some of my friends are giving me such a hard time about wanting to lose weight. I mostly want to be stronger, I get out of breath too fast for a 27 year old. I know 40 year olds that could run laps around me.
