I started working out again january 6th. I had put on a few pounds (got up to 196) and i'm 5'10. I am preparing for our tact unit and trying to drop weight. I am down to 180 - 181 it changes daily and seem to be stuck. According to mfp i am burning between 2500 and 3000 calories a week. I rarely go over my 1450 calorie a day diet, but i have stayed the same weight for close to 2 weeks now. I was on a great pace for the first month and a half. Now i seem stuck? any suggestions? Btw my workouts now consist of 3 to 4 runs mixed with some stairs (8 story stairwell near work) and lots of calisthenics.

I have gradually being putting on weight since November 2010 due to becoming inactive after an operation. I have been struggling to lose the excess weight. I need to lose 1 and 1/2 stone. I hope My Fitness Pal gives me the support I need.0

I reccomend looking at your calories and eating the net calories or as close as you can to it after exercise. I know a lot of people seem to have different views but a lot of people that get stuck are just not getting enough calories in a day so your body holds on to what it has thinking it is going hungry. And drink alot of water. Half your body weight in water a day. Hope this helps.0

I continued eating around 1400 calories a day for another week, still wasn't getting anywhere. I read several articles online about spiking calories for a day or two then dropping them back to 1400. So far it seems to be working, i've lost 4 more pounds in 2 weeks. I really want to be as close to 160 as possilbe around the end of april. I believe the calisthenics have added some muscle that may be skewing my actual number weight. I currently do 400 push ups, 400 situps, and 60 pull ups 3 to 4 times a week. I also run stairs approx. 1 hour 2 days a week, and on non workout days a slow 9 to 10 minute mile pace run for 4-6 miles.0
