i try to go over mine every day. Going over in protein, and fiber is a good thing as MFP sets the goal too low...

no. too much protein is not a bad thing. in my opinion the protein allotted on this site is way too low.

No, look at your protein goal as a minimum that you should be reaching each day. Your carbs and fat settings are more of a maximum limit that you shouldn't exceed. Protein can help build muscle and keeps you feeling full longer. MFP default settings for protein are very low.

the automatic goal set here is pretty low 15% I think, I doubled mine to 30% so I could aim for the half gram of protein per pound of body weight that I want for my current aims.

Protein and fiber are the ones I don't worry about going over on regardless

I agree, protein levels are set too low on MFP, but you can change them if you go to your database:smile:

just make sure your protein is all lean protein. I get 110 to 125 grams of protein a day, every day, and I am very successful at my weight loss. It is all either extra lean or lean protein, and that makes a difference. Unlike an atkins-like plan where they want you to eat anything meat wise, no matter how fatty it is, that grosses me out just thinking about it.
