Bump I'm wondering too. Everything I've tried hasn't helped much.0

stretch marks are a tough one...they are actually scars in our skin from tears. If they are recent ones, I heard cocoa butter does a good job, as well as making sure you are getting a lot of vitamin E in your diet.
Good luck!0 -
I don't think there is anything we can do. I go to the tanning bed though and that helps a lot.0

Mary Kay makes a Night Solution (for faces) that I use on my stretch marks everywhere. Kind of expensive but it seems to work well for me. :-)0

I use BioOil. it's a little expensive but i like it... :flowerforyou:0

Vit E oil direct onto the scars will help lighten them.0

the tanning bed will cause more damage later in other ways, though.. so be careful about that. for some people the risks are worth it.
i've learned to love my body just the way it is, but if stretch marks are bothersome to you, then you might consider some avocado butter? or cocoa butter? or even coffee butter! they may or may not work, but what a delicious effort!
try to get organic no matter what you end up trying because you're putting it on your skin. i hate to even mention it, but i think it's important.
you should be able to find natural or organic body butters through an herbalist or a naturopath. in southern new england, we use seven arrows (attleboro, mass). you can search them out if you want - they might do mail orders.0 -

I go in the winter, if I don't I'll get severe seasonal depression. I don't go initially for the tan I go for the therapy. The sun the light the heat. BUT the tan is good!
You can't love your body "just the way it is" or you wouldn't be trying to lose weight. Everyone has little things they want to change. Stretch marks, hair color, waste size. Tiny things like that aren't extremely vain. They make us feel better.0 -

there's no need to explain yourself. you can do whatever you like, it's just important to note that for many people the risks outweigh the benefits.0 -

i think you can love the body just the way it is, while caring for it. i'm not really trying to change it, myself. i'm just trying to figure out the best way to care for it. but thank you for your words, i think they're really important for discussion.0 -
and i don't think there's anything wrong with a little vanity, either i just try to keep t safe. there are a lot of people in the world willing to capitalize on the anxieties of consumers.
i absolutely despise that.
so what i was getting at about loving my body the way it is, is to not worry about it so much, but be proactive if it's important to you. that's all. no worries, no judgment.
