Eating at night does NOT make you fat!
High-fructose corn syrup is NOT worse for you!
Sea sale does NOT have less sodium than regular salt.

Look at the rest! Pretty interesting!

Oh, and I also talked to a registered dietitian about some of these, like the high-fructose corn syrup and sea salt, and she agrees. They all go into your body as a sugar or sodium, respectively.

they only thing with sea salt is that it has other minerals that iodized salt does not.

I think people get the "eating at night" thing mixed up. Most people say just try avoid eating a few hours before bed. But even if you do, I'm sure it would stop the weight loss process.

In regard to HFCS -- this article was written 2 years ago. There are still studies being done, but I believe, from what I've read so far-- it is definitely not good for you. Here's an example:

Thanks for the info! It sounds like it's the fructose part that's bad, not the sucrose. And I like your source! So many people post things from like "ehow" or some blog from an author, so it has no validity. Princeton.edu is pretty legit :)

And..I know some of the myths are not true, but also, they opposing side of them needs to be taken with a grain of salt too. It's just the basic stuff that people argue sometimes, but...like you said this was written earlier and reviewed on Dec 9, 2010..and the research continues!

We need to remember that everything is ok in moderation. I prefer the taste of sea salt to regular salt and I'd rather have HFCS then aspartame.

It's not that fructose is bad for you -- we eat fruit, which contains fructose in it's natural form. It's the manufacturing process of HFCS that changes the fructose by making it readily available. Naturally occuring fructose has "an extra step" before it can be used.

And, regarding HFCS, I think one of the primary concerns is that it is found in nearly everything, from ketchup to salad dressings to sauces to whatever. It's a "hidden" sugar that creeps up on you because it's found in nearly every processed food, even some you wouldn't think has any sugar in it at all.
