Has any other women on here tried Hydroxycut Max For Women? I bought it today and was wondering if it really works. I thought it's worth a try. Please let me know! Thanks!

Today's my second day taking it. So far I've realized my cravings are practically nonexistent and I'm not hungry other than right after I take it. Hopefully it has more good benefits!0

I don't know but be careful and do your research before actually taking them....I once tried another brand of those weightloss supplements a few years ago but it started giving me palpitations, stomach aches, dizziness and changes to my breathing...I was only about 18 or 19yrs old at the time. And before and after that I had a clean bill of health but during? Not so well. Good luck either way.0

I was thinking about startin those pills too!!! I wanna know to!0

Look at the ingredients and if it has Guarana seed in it, be careful!!! Makes you jittery and makes your heart beat fast. Some folks are not as sensitive to it, but it made me ill and lots of those kind of diet pills have that in them.0

One of their products was pulled off shelves last year because it was causing liver damage in women. Also, I've heard that once you stop taking it, the weight comes right back. Be careful! :frown:
Edit: your profile says you have spina bifida... check with your doctor before taking this!! It could interfere with other medications or situations!0 -
Just be careful. I was on hydroxycut a few years ago and it reacted badly with my birth control. I became severely depressed and while I worked out a lot more and didn't crave as much, I became very withdrawn.0

I have taken it in the past, a few years ago... I found that I couldn't take anywhere near the "recommended" dosage.. I think it says 3 pills a number of times a day? I only took one pill a day and only immediately before a workout -- it was awesome for pushing through, but taking it to just sit around makes you feel like you just drank 10 cups of coffee!
In terms of weight loss, I couldn't tell you... At the time, I was working out 3 hours a day, and the pills definitely helped with that, but it wasn't regular life, and not sustainable.0 -

People are just concerned about her health, that's all. My aunt ended up in the emergency room after having a bad reaction to these pills :frown:
11.2lbs in 7 weeks is definitely reasonable weight loss without pills - don't think you NEED them to lose it. You can do it without! :flowerforyou:0 -
Over the years I've tried many over the counter weight loss products and while luckily I've never had serious adverse results none of them have been the magic answer to make me skinny again either. I've given up the fantasy that there is a miracle pill out there and know its gonna be up to me to do the hard work of making healthy food choices, eating within an acceptable calorie range, and getting off my lazy butt and exercising.
At one point I had a legal doctor's prescription for phentermine and that did help with appetite control and energy more than anything over the counter ever had. Talk to your doctor and ask if they feel it is an appropriate weight loss aid for you. If you really want a pill to take do it under a doctor's supervision.
Good Luck!0 -
Thanks girls! And thanks Believetoachieve, I didn't think of the disability, I just want this weight off. I don't take medicine and I've taken diet pills before but that was when I thought it would work with just eating less. Now I'm trying to work out but I'm limited because of the wheelchair so maybe they will help. Thanks again!

It's not about cutting her down. Like a previous poster said, the cautions come out of pure concern. I took pills when I was 18 and I lost about 10 pounds on them in slightly over a month. I started feeling more irritable and fatigued because they severely dehydrated my body and didn't let me eat because I felt full all the time. I didn't like the way they made me feel so I stopped taking them. It is now two and half years later and I'm still paying for the consequences. I gained all the weight and more back, my metabolism shut down, and my body holds onto water. I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to lose weight that used to fall off with healthy diet & exercise. And this was from an ALL NATURAL supplement. The thought of taking something like Hydroxycut makes me worrisome. But that is just my two cents. Your body is not mine and you may respond differently, just be careful is all I ask.0 -

No problem! I used to be friends with a girl in a similar situation (though she'd even had some bones in her feet/legs removed, and some drainage shunts in her head/neck). She suffered the same thing - trying to lose weight while not being very mobile. It's tough! :sad:0 -
It's a gimmick, and expensive. Drink green tea if you want to speed up your metabolism.0

I have a shunt too, my doctors said it'll be ok.0
-
Thanks, I didn't that!0

I don't think anyone will "cut you down", per se. I think that's being a bit over-dramatic.
However, dump 'em.
The above reasons are spot-on to get off the gimmicks, stop looking for shortcuts.
There's another reason that hasn't been mentioned (according to my quick skimming). Even if pills like these work, they're a crutch to supporting bad habits. Good habits == better.0 -
Wanna try this!0

I didn't notice a significant difference in my weight loss progress when taking these as directed. I was losing weight slowly before taking them, and while taking them... but not any faster, I don't think. I did find they increased my heart rate through the day, or made it feel 'fluttery'.
I had blood tests done while taking them, and they showed sign of kidney and liver toxicity and damage.
I stopped taking them for 2 weeks, and my test results came back normal.
So just be careful, and don't use them for too long.0
