I have a close friend who had one several years ago. It was painful during the recovery time (several weeks) , but she is so much happier. She looks better and feels so much better about the way she looks. Good luck to you.

My cousin had it done and she loves it. I don't think her recovery was bad. Good luck

I did! I went from an over-the-top FF to an A.... had extra skin removed, and then in a later surgery actually got implants to take me to a comfortable C-D.

The reduction wasn't bad. The binder/bra you wear actually feels great and is supportive. The recovery was about a week before I was moving normally and 4-6 weeks before I could do my activities. I can't remember exactly how many weeks I was on a lifting restriction. I can imagine if you have little ones, that would be a much bigger deal... but for me, it was no problem.

I would absolutely do it again. I had a significant procedure (sorry for the TMI) where they detached the nip, removed the skin and excess, then reattached everything. I do have some scars, but the surgeon was good in the placement and most are in the natural fold of the breast or look like natural contouring/coloring.

I'm very, very, very happy and would do it again. It makes everything easier - clothes buying, exercising, and has eliminated pain.

    Best of luck!
    D.
  • Just as a side note. After losing a significant amount of body fat, I lost a significant amount of breast size. I lost about a size and a half. I breast fed too so I'm sure that didn't help either. As I'm sure you are aware, breasts are mostly made up of fatty tissue, so when you start losing a lot of body fat that's one area that is very noticeable.

Thanks guys. I do have a 3 year old, and I think that will be the hardest part... with the lifting restrictions afterward.

Also, I have always had very large breasts even when i was super super skinny, and have always wanted one done, even when my weight drops my chest stays way too large. I also have never been able to run or get a really good work out because its uncomfortable. Not to mention my back pain and shoulder pain.

I had a reduction about 10 years ago. I'd like to do another one now that I've had a child and my breasts have gotten bigger again from it.

The recovery was nothing. I took a week off and read books, chilled out. No pain, no nothing. I was on lifting restrictions for about three or four weeks.

The scarring is pretty bad, but I am still happy I did it. Ten years and a world of difference in the procedures so now the scaring is next to nothing.

the grossest thing was the drainage tubes being pulled out. I almost puked. But other than that, it was great!

I had one three years ago, I went from an H to a DD. It was a long recovery for me as they left the tubes in to long afterwards and I got an infection, I was off work about a month(tried to go back after two weeks and lasted half a day).
I would do it again in a heartbeat! Best decision I ever made by far. My scaring isnt to bad but I did lose sensation through most of both breasts( still have sensation in my nipples though) it freaks me out a little bit, it's a very strange feeling but it's a small price to pay for how great I feel!

I'm jealous. I want to get a brest reduction once I'm done having kids. Before I had my daughter I was 115 lbs, 5'3, and had 34D boobs. Now I have 34DDD. I don't even want to think about how big they will get with future pregnancies. ):

Good luck on your surgery! I hope it helps your back out a lot.
