Can someone please give me a breakdown of all of the different acronyms on MFP. I just started yesterday and I am confused by a lot of it. Thanks in advance!

Well, here are some that I've seen:

    SW - Starting weight
    CW - current weight
    GW - goal weight
    MG - mini goal
    HRM - heart rate monitor
    NSV - Non-Scale Victory

That's all I can think of off hand, but if you see another not listed, post it and someone can help.

Non-Scale Victory. Basically things that make us feel better when the scale isn't... haha

Here's a few of the rarer used ones:

WTHDIET - Why the hell did I eat that?
CMPRBTT - Can my pants really be this tight?
ICFSMSA - I can finally see my shoes again.
GOYAAGWO - Get off your *kitten* and go work out.
    GOYA - See above.

I can relate! Some I've been able to figure out, but there are others where I'm totally confused... Can't remember any of them off the top of my head, but next time I see one I might post it here now, lol.

This really helped, I figured out some of the acronyms as I went, however the "bump" didn't make sense...it does now!! It will make tracking a post much easier!! Thanks for starting this post and to everyone who replied!

My initial thoughts on bump was -- pregnancy bump (until men starting posting bump) then I switched my thoughts to "bump in the road", like a minor set-back.
