I use the podcasts called Motion Traxx, which is on iTunes. The DJ has a variety podcasts at different BPM levels, and I love them because I find it helps focus me when I'm running to have all the songs in the same BPM range. They're mainly dance/techno.

I have a huge selection of all different types of music all with a good beat for me, it ranges from some AC/DC, country, Christian, to 80's. I love "another one bites the dust" by Queen when I am power walking I think of the lbs dropping away as I walking my a** off LOL :)

My 14 yr old got me hooked on some fairly hard techno that works really well, I tend to mix that in with some old school techno that I listened to in my early 20's. All of it tends to make me work harder to keep in time.

Stamp on the Ground - ItaloBrothers
    J'adore Hardcore - Scooter
    Superstar DJ - Dark Oscillators
    Honey - Moby
    Blood Rave - Crystal Method
Ready Steady Go - Paul Oakenfold
Bubblegum Crisis album - DJ Hardware
    Ambercrombie - DJ Baby Anne

I think anything with a good beat, or faster bass line, or just aggressiveness will work for a workout. Including dance, techno, industrial techno, rap, electronica, rock, metal, etc...

I listen to almost anything by DISTURBED (my favorite band!). They'll put you in the mood to work out!!
