Now that I know what NSV is ... I share my first

I had to dig to find that NSV = non-scale victory. :)

My first one was last Saturday. My wife had hosted a baby shower in the afternoon, and in the freezer was a large container of these little ping-pong ball sized donut-holes. Normally not something we have around, and I thought "I'm doing so well, so eating a bowl full of these isn't going to kill me. Even if I'm over a few hundred calories today, I can make it up over the next couple days."

So I grabbed a handful of them and sat gluttonously on the couch popping them into my mouth like popcorn.

Then it happened.

After about 6 of them, they lost their appeal. In the bowl sat at least another half-dozen of them.

And I didn't. Want. A single. One.

I tossed them. And in spite of my best efforts, I ended up below my calorie goal for the day ANYWAY.

Congrats. I hope you continue to enjoy at moderation. I hear that after a while, you crave healthy foods all the time. While I'm still waiting for it to happen to me, I know it's possible. WTG on your loss.
