I consistenty keep my NET calories at 1200, I exercise hard and eat these calories and it seems to work.
Yesterday however I posted on here as I had a major blood sugar drop, I felt really faint and light headed after my gym session, was seeing spots and felt really hunrgy and utterly exhausted for the rest of the day. Every time I stood up, even hours later I felt dizzy and unstable. I couldn't shake the hunger or the exhaustion all day. Most responses to my post said 'eat a bit more today and get some rest and sugar'. I did this and my net calories ended up at 1892. I don't feel guilty for this, it wasn't a binge, I actually felt like I must have pushed myself too far and needed to get some sugar and food back in so that I didn't end up passing out.
But the question is what do I do now? I feel fine today and have already been for a great workout and feel better for it. Should I eat less over the next couple of days to balance out my NEW carbs for the week or just keep them at 1200 and forget about yesterday?

I would forget yesterday 1 day doesn't ruin a journey in my opinion by going under today then there is a chance that you will end up feeling like you did yesterday which is what you don't want x0

I'd just get back on track and drink lots and lots of water. Dehydration will make you lightheaded and hungry feeling.... It's possible that you are not drinking enough with all that exercising you've been doing!0

just stick to your usual routine, undereating over exercising will cause damage..0

Ditto.
I will say, though, that I have difficulty with this. I really struggle with adjusting my mindset so that I don't "punish" myself when I slip up a little with my diet.
It sounds like yesterday was an isolated incident for you, so the best thing to do is brush it off and return to "business as usual"0 -
bump for later :bigsmile:0
