Weird Question..

So I've been on here for about 7 weeks (if my math is correct) and this morning I weight myself and lost 3 pounds since my last weigh in, which was Sunday, when I had a 2 lb loss from the week before. This brings me to a total of 15 pounds. I was just wondering if I'm losing weight TOO fast? I have MFP set to lose 1.5 lbs/week but I've usually been burning more most weeks. I'm not doing anything special really, just working out (when I started I never worked out), and eating smaller portions (I eat most of the same food as before, I've cut out the really bad things and added really good things, but I've just started eating less of it)
I just want to make sure I'm doing this the right way, and not too fast so the weight will stay off.

I think you are losing in a healthy way.....15 pounds in two weeks, I might question. But you are making a lifestyle change, and losing 1.5-2 pounds a week is a very healthy goal.
Best of luck as you continue your journey!

You are doing great, try and eat your exercise calories and keep reaping the benefit of being 19. Your youth allows you to lose weight more rapidly. Keep up the great work...0

Usually large loses like that are water weight-totally healthy to lose that @ a fast rate. Your body is flushing out all the toxins!0

Usually the first several pounds are water weight, so if you take say 5 pounds off the top, then 10 pounds over 7 weeks is pretty much your goal! it will slow down, so just don't be discouraged if your down to your 1.5 pounds per week soon.
Congrats on your loss so far! Nice going! It's great when you can lose without a huge change. I too am still eating everything I did, just less of it and working out. I figured that the first few pounds would come off easily just with a calorie deficit and exercise, so I'm saving the real "life changing" stuff for when I'm super close and those pounds won't come off!0 -
I've done about the same as you. I have exercised almost every day and have been eating healthy for the most part with a few slurges. I am certainly not starving myself, so I think you're okay. I expect that things will slow down the closer I get to my gaol weight.0

where do you find the exercise trackers?0

I agree with some of the other comments. You are younger and have a higher metabolism so you are going to lose faster in the beginning. As stated previously, you also lose much of it in water weight, especially if you aren't typically a water drinker and now are drinking water all the time. Please keep in mind though that your weighloss will slow down so don't get discouraged.
Keep doing what you are doing because it's working and good luck!0 -
Awesome, thanks guys! I didn't think about the first couple pounds being water weight, so that makes sense!
Good luck to all of you as well!!0 -
Sounds like you are doing great...keep it up!0

I agree with the previous posters. Also, everything I've read says that when you've got more to lose you lose it quicker. Keep it up girl!!0

I think it all depends on the person.... I sometimes don't gain any, but then other times I gain between 2 and up to 5, but it always goes back down.0 -
I always go up alittle but It throws me because then I think I am gaining.......ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

My trainer told me that you can gain up to 10lbs water weigh during TOM and it'll go away when it ends. It's crapppy!0
