Maye your not getting enough calories, are you eating your calories you earn from exercise? Hows your sodium intake, could yopu be retaining fluid? Remember muscle weighes more than fat.

Are you eating back your exercise calories? Drinking lots of water? NOT consuming lots of sodium? Really recording everything that goes in your mouth?

If so...your body is just acclimating to the new lifestyle...give it a few weeks.

If not, then make sure you are doing all of the above and maybe mix up the intensity of your work outs

    Good luck!

Bust out the measuring tape. I've been doing the same thing and haven't lost as much as I thought I should have by now. But, the measuring tape gives me the encouragement I need to keep pushing! I know I'm losing just because the measuring tape is telling me so. The scale, however, is just not my friend right now!

I totally agree!! It does sound like maybe you aren't eating enough for that amount of activity as well. Might be in sarvation mode.

I have the same problem much of the time. I am a short (about 5 foot) female and I know "they" say no one should eat under 1200 calories a day, but if I eat that I will GAIN weight. Hate to admit it, but middle age metabolism is NOT my friend either right now. I don't know if any of this applies to you or not, but if it does hang in there! I have found in the past that eventually the weight does start to come off ...just takes longer than it used to and more work to get going! Good luck.

Thanks for the replies...I think that my body is in starvation mode at this time, go to start eating more calories. I will keep everyone posted.
    Thanks again

I'm not middle aged but I'm sub-5' and 1200 means I will be technically obese in no time.

If you're on 1200 per day and exercising, perhaps you shoudl change up the exercises you're doing to see if that makes a difference?
