How do you reward yourself?

I know this topic's been posted on before, but promising myself rewards just really increased my engagement with goals that were feeling stale.
I'm doing a stair-step rewards program like those old fundraiser plans:
Every 5 lbs= new book (love books!)
Every 10 lbs= new pants (love pants) + new book
Every 20 lbs= new piece of outdoor gear, like climbing pro or a new jacket (LOVE R.E.I.) + new pants + new book!
It's not actually that expensive because I lose weight at a snail's pace. Works out to about 1 new book a month and a new pair of pants every two months.
Grin. What are your rewards?

What a great idea! I figured that losing weight was benefit enough for me, but this sounds awesome...0

It's not so much a reward as it is a necessity for me to get a new wardrobe. My current "new" wardrobe is already too loose on me.0

Rewarding myself would be a good idea itd probably make me able to reach the goals a little faster.0

My weekly Friday night cheat meal with my wife is my normal reward. Now that I'm entering races, I am signing up for one every month or so and I consider those rewards as well. I haven't thought about a goal weight reward, but it may be heading to the casino with my buddies for a night of blackjack and poker!0

That's a good idea! I've not yet rewarded myself (as far as long term). I was thinking more short term. Such as, once a week I let myself have popcorn (with lots of butter and salt, btw), and once a month I let myself have a good yummy dessert (usually chocolate cake of some kind). When I'm all done though, my husband promised to take me somewhere tropical, where I can wear a bikini. We haven't been anywhere crazy since our honeymoon 7 years ago! I really like your idea!0

1st reward is a pedicure. :flowerforyou:0

I reward myself with a movie at the theater (I think the chairs are getting bigger) I love the big screen experience. I will also purchase myself a book on Kindle. Both under $10 and both a lot of fun0

My sister and I are rewarding each other. Every 5 pounds I lose she buys me a present. Every 10 pounds she loses I buy her a present. It works out to three presents each then we will have hit our goal weights.
We've done this kind of thing out whole lives. Il buy you this dress if you buy me one. I know it doesn't really make sense but we feel better because we're spending our money on other people instead of ourselves.
It makes it a little more fun and has been good motivation so far. 1 pound to go until I get my first present lol.0 -
I was going to reward myself every 10lbs, but i decided to do it at every 15lbs.
For the first 15 I'm getting my nails or hair done, maybe even both.
I know for my final goal I'm going to buy myself some new clothes.0 -
I don't have small rewards any more because I didn't find them motivating. My big reward when I hit my goal weight is to fly to Thailand to visit my brother and get some hand tailored suits from a tailor he uses on the island where he lives. My reward for reaching the half way point will be enrolling in a creative writing course at a local college (I like continued education).0

I am way into photography but don't so much like being in front of the camera right now.... so I am rewarding myself with a photoshoot0

Check out my signature block! (I also lose at a snail's pace, but thinking of the next reward helps me keep at it!)0

That is a great list of rewards!0 -
Since I'm a food addict (that's how I got to the point where I needed this site! LOL), I reward myself with eating some of the foods I once loved a little too much.
At least twice a week I have a cheat meal. It's great now because a cheat meal doesn't have to turn into a cheat weekend...I've learned self-control!
(Shopping for me isn't a reward....it's just what I do. Husband says I'm trying to set the world record for pants owned.)0
