My husband made a huge pan of premium Nishiki Brown Rice , it say 1/4 dry equals 140 cal, so...what exactly does 1/4 dry equal to cooked??? I would try to cook it except he made the rest of the bag and I can only get it 1/2 hour away from where I am located and I don't want to go there just for rice.

Usually, it's about 1/2 cup cooked, but look at your water ratio. So if he made 2 cups of rice but needed 4 cups of water, then the rice would double. If he made 2 cups and needed 3 cups of water, than the rice would be mutiplied by 1.5... hope that helps and makes sense lol0

Depends on how much water he used. Assuming the rice soaks up all the water he used, if he uses a 2:1 ratio the calculation would look something like this. 1/4c of rice + 1/2c of water = 3/4 cup of cooked rice. Of course some water will be lost by evaporation, but the difference should be pretty negligible.0
