Anyone have issues with Thyroid? I took a quiz online last week and it said I had 47% chance of having issues. My mom had hypo and hyper, so it runs in the family for sure.

I have been so tired lately and Im not losing. I can't get past the 5 lbs mark.

Im thinking of calling my doc to see if I can get it tested and see what happens. Im so tired of being tired.
I am at "that time of the month" and also my back is out of wack. So tomorrow I go see my wonderful Chiro, then get thru my "time" and then see how I feel, but this has been going on for a couple of months.

Go get tested by a doc as soon as possible. My mother waited and now has the onset of graves disease. My Aunt waited and now is in a mental hospital as it somehow can effect your brain and she has almost died twice all because she refused to treat hers. I did not think it was that serious of a disease but it is. Go before its too late.

Wow, I didn't know it could do that.

My mom thought she was having a nervous breakdown and I havn't felt like that, just a little down.

My mother in law has the bulging eye thing going on. I don't want to even go there.

Just to be safe go. I thought it was nothing serious and people are fine with it but since mom got it and then got graves disease I looked more into it. Then when my aunt got really sick I looked further. It is not something to play around with. I have a friend that was beautiful and got the bulging eyes. She regrets not taking care of hers right away.

    Thanks for the info.
  • Yeah, you need to go get checked out. I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid and I had to take a radioactive iodine pill to kill off my thyroid, so I have to take a pill everyday to keep it regulated. The doctor said that I could have died if I wouldn't have gotten it checked out in time. My heartrate was around 135-140 resting, when its only supposed to be in the 80's. So yeah, definitely go get checked out.

Your symptoms sound like HYPOthyroid, which is what I am now if I don't take my pills. I know how you feel, so you're not alone!! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like :)
