So im feeling under the weather today, headache, stuffed up nose, really tired, anyone know any good comfort foods that are still healthy? These are the times when i want thick hearty soup with a big soft roll or soft warm bread but my calories limit me to light runny stuff with regular bread

Campbell's has some of their chunky soups that the calories are less than 200 PER SERVING (half of a larger can). They usually do the trick for me. I accompany them with reduced fat wheat thins (16 crackers) and have a lunch that is less than 350 cal. Hope that helps. The soups are actually mm...mm...good!!... OK I couldn't resist.0

If you aren’t afraid of cooking, this chicken noodle soup is my go-to recipe:

I can send you a recipe for a veggie & beef stew that is so yummy! If you want it let me know. Very easy to make, the recipe makes a ton, and it's great comfort food (great when the weather is cold and nasty too). Let me know if you'd like it.0

Chop up some red potatoes and carrots (onion and garlic too if you have the palate for it) and boil 'em up until they are mashable. Throw in some almond milk and a little healthy fat like olive oil or an avocado and just cream the ever loving daylights out of it.
Also awesome with some cauliflower thrown in the mix.
If you like proper Indian food, google Bengali comfort foods. There are loads of easy and very rich hearty meals that really just take a pan and 30 minutes.0 -
You can still have the same comfort foods you like just make it yourself instead of buying the soups in the cans which are loaded with sodium and other not so great ingredients to help them keep on the shelves. A great site for recipes is allrecipes.com and hungrygirl.com. In fact on the hungry girl site the creator takes well known recipes or restaurant fav's and creates healthier versions.0
