Typically men lose weight faster then women, mainly because they have more lean muscle to burn fat. With that said 9 pounds is awesome for the first month.

That is awesome. I'm weighing in Sunday ( last day of my phase 1 ) Ive peeked at the scale here and there so I have a rough idea. Are you doing the classic or lean rotation?

I only lost 4lbs in the first 30 days last summer when I was doing it. This time around- finishing up my third week now- I've lost 6lbs so far....

I just went back through my calendar to give you accurate info. I lost 7 pounds during my first phase, first round of P90X. I lost 24 pounds over all during the 90 days. I started doing a couple of double workouts with walking and jogging starting the 2nd phase. You're doing just fine. Don't compare your loss with his. They don't deal with all the "changes" that we go through.

We are doing classic. But on the "rest week" we did plyo and core synergistics every other day. Also if we missed a workout we did doubles the next day. Which one are you doing??

Classic always! I would get beyond bored with the Lean version. My husband would hate the lean version.

Classic as well. Ive also been doing other things here and there as well...(running, bodyrock, bbl ). Ive been told by several females that the loss isn't huge as far as weight in the 1st phase. I will tell you that I look very different than my before pic and my waist has gone down ALOT. I don't care what the scale says anymore as long as the inches keep shedding.

Im on the 4th week of my second round. This time my husband isn't doing it with me but on the first round he lost 30lb during the program while I lost 8lb!! Its all about how much easier it is for men and also how much you have to lose in comparison with him! My hubby had a lot more to loose than I did. GReat job though, 9lb is awesome!!!

Great job on the 9 pounds! I'm only half way through week 1, phase 1 and haven't lost a thing (but I did discover a shoulder muscle today!) My husband quit eating cookies and lost 20 pounds. Sigh. I'm glad for him because it inspired him to be a little more purposeful about it but still, I've been working my butt off trying to work my butt off and I'm nowhere near that! Oh well, lifestyle right? Eventually it'll go.

My sister in-law was doing it too but gave up after 2 weeks bc she actually gained weight. Stick with it, its probably muscles that you built that keeping the scale the same :)....... I hate that about Men when it comes to weight most of the time.... its like just putting the extra index finger strength to put the toilet seat down would shed 5lbs......... if they did it!
