Just wondering how long i should wait after eating dinner to exercise ?
my goal is to do cardio twice a day
and having breakfast lunch and dinner.
I do not have access to weights so strength training is not optional
at this time (aside from push ups and sit ups)
I have a decent treadmill in my home that i use for exercise.

I like to excersize on an empty stomach, so I do it before. It also curbs your appetite.0

I think most people say 2-3 hours, depending on how big your meal is0

i don't like working out while i have a full stomach, so even if i'm hungry- i try to workout before & curb my appetite with a snack before so i'm not starving by the time i'm finished.

long enough so you dont think youll get sick. For me it's about an hour.0

I generally try to do it between meals and have a snack (banana, granola bar) between 45 minutes-1 hour before I start. After you exercise your metabolism is higher, so eating after makes sense to me... but YMMV.0

I exercise first because your metabolism gets going and helps metabolize your food faster.0

I try to do it before I eat and the others are right, it curves your appetite. I just did Tae Bo and I don't know if it's being tired from it or what but I hardly touched my dinner! But there are times when I eat because I don't have access to exercise equipment until later on. In which case I wait at least an hour to an hour and a half after eating.0

I agree, before is always better. My exercise time is usually before lunch or late afternoon...so I have plenty of time to recover from b-fast and lunch.0
