Hi there,
I'm brand new to this site and looking forward to taking off the 40 pounds I gained this past year. The trifecta of weight gain came from foot surgery (no walking for 2 months), quitting smoking, and my thyroid shutting down. What a year! Healthy eating and a slimmer body...here I come!

You've come to the right place for help. You can friend me, if you'd like. For a few more days, I'm your age and I have about the same amount to lose. Welcome!

    Welcome!
(I was afraid it was the "pneumonia, chocolate cake and ennui" trifecta I've got going....)
  • Aby: yours sounds like a whole lot more fun!

It at least sounds like it will end sooner... I'm not sure about the fun.

Ain't it great? I went on birth control gained a bunch, off of it, gained a bunch, developed thyroid issues, yup you guessed it gained MORE! Oh, and somewhere in there I went back to college at nearly 30, ate horribly and had absolutely no time to exercise let alone breathe! But, I graduated, have a new wonderful man, great job, and I'm on the right track....this is a great site! Honestly, never, ever lasted this long at a weight loss scheme and I have no plans of quitting, I love it!

Best of luck to you! Feel free to friend me if you'd like!
