When things just arent going right,
and that chocolate you need to bite,
take a trip down memory lane,
with the GOOD times not the pain.

Fill your glass with memories devine,
Memories that promote the good times,
Use them as the water to fuel your day,
When its seems your goals are far away.

So raise your glass slowly
and place it on your lips,
Pause for a second and
let memories rest on your lips...............

I lost my father 5 years ago today to cancer and know that the next week will be a massive battle for me. When i found out he had cancer i changed my life completely. I moved house 400 miles so that i could be near to him on a daily basis. He built a boat that he would never have been able to use so i took him out daily/whenever i had the chance and the smiles on his face are what keeps me going today. MEMORIES are what should drive us people.

Peace out x

  • Thank you for this...and peace to you as well. I lost my grandfather this day, eight years ago. He was seemingly in perfect health and had a heart attack. He went doing something he loved...skiing. He taught me to ski, and when I switched over to snowboarding he said he wanted to as well. While I haven't been in years, I will always remember him every time I hit those slopes.

That's lovely my friend. Very inspiring. My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer 2 years ago. We were devastated at the time but made the decision that it will not ruin our lives. We carry on each day as if it's not there. He's doing great and the hospital are happy with his attitude. I think that's what makes us strong. Thanks for sharing :flowerforyou:
