Hey Madi
I'm going to tell you what just about everyone here will tell you: Diet Pills don't work. They aren't forever and you're doing yourself a disservice by using them.
Now, here's the good news: TamTastic has lost over 100 pounds with no pills! And she's not the only one. CHeck out her site and talk to her, she's an inspiration to those of us with 40 pounds to lose.
And talk to Princess Laundry, another big Loser (in the best of ways, sweetie!!). She has such great ideas that keep weight loss fun.

I'll be the second to jump on the wagon. If diet pills worked, none of us would be overweight. A few suggestions:
1. Make sure you eat breakfast. Studies show that those who eat breakfast tend to loose weight more easily than those who don't and keep it off more consistently.
2. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day that include a carbohydrate and a protien.
3. Drink LOTS and LOTS of water.
4. Be careful to eat enough. The biggest mistake dieters make is to eat too little, thus slowing their metabolism.
5. Whatever exercise you're doing, add in some strength training. You need to build muscle to help your metabolism along.
6. Be 100% honest about what you're eating and drinking and be honest about the intensity of your exercise.
Don't be discouraged when you have bad days. A good attitude will help you win the game.

Hi Madison,
The advice the others give you is great advice! Especially the one about eating 5-6 meals a day. Your metabolism will speed up as long as you keep feeding it GOOD calories. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein as well. While diet pills don't always work for everyone, I have found 1 that helps me take the edge off craving food all the time. It is a prescription pill I get from my Dr. called Phentermine. I have had success with it so far helping curve my appetite. I eat a big breakfast and then take my pill and then force myself to eat mostly fruit & Vegetables and a protein bar for my other meals. About dinner time the pill wears off and I will have about a 500 calorie dinner.
Then by bed time the pill has worn off and I am sleepy again. Be sure and ask your Dr. about side effects. This drug can speed you up and cause you to have a bit of trouble sleeping, but it has worked good for me and in 2 weeks in I have lost about 7 pounds total, but I am also walking a mile a day 4 times a week.. Eating right and Excercise is the only thing that really works, the Phentermine helps take away my cravings for the bad stuff... Good Luck!0 -
YOU GUYS HAVE GIVEN GREAT ADVICE :drinker: I JUST ANTED THE CHEATER WAY OUT, BUT I GUESS THE OLD SAYING IS DO NOT FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKE GOOD EATING HABITS AND EXERCISE NEVER FAILS :drinker:0

Diet pills...I tried this for a few pills once...
My brain became nuts, overstimulated it as if I had downed a bottle of caffeine...My friend did the same thing and had the same experience. Thankfully I only took two total. It is going to take proper effort and well, motivation. You can so do this...Just want it more than whatever you are doing instead.
Want it more than sitting and watching TV late at night.
Want it more than the munchie you are going for to sabotage yourself.
Want it more than you want anything.)
You can do it!0 -
Its going to be a universal THEY DONT WORK. all they are is caffine pills for the most part. I read that flax seed oil works well to calm the appetite, and I have recently started taking them and have noticed I am not so hungry all the time, but I do eat more frequently just way way way tinier portions.0
