I had a c-section and then late hernia surgery.. and to add insult to injury I have loose skin and a few stretch marks. Its gross but I can literally grab a handful of skin! ewww.
For the other mommys out there.. does this somewhat go away after losing weight? or is tummuy tuck the only way?

Mine has got a whole lot smaller and I can feel my abs below and see my upper abs... but I still have slight hanging skin when I bend over... I'm doing a lot of ab work and it has helped greatly so I'm going to keep that up. I had 4 kids and can't erase that but I am very happy with the results I've had thus far and no longer want a tummy tuck. I'm hoping that if I keep going at this rate that my tummy will be completely taught within the year. It takes time.

I had three boys - 12 lb 1 oz, 11lbs, 13 oz and 10 lbs 10oz so I totally get your questions. I can't call my rolls of skin baby fat anymore because my boys are 24, 22 and 19. I can literally tuck that skin into my bathing suit. It is a bit daunting as I also have hypothyroidism which can cause weight gain. I have slowly been gaining every year but have done nothing to change that. Now that I have joined MFP, I am sticking to this decision to watch what I eat. I plan to keep it up and soon will start to work out. I am glad to know you have similar problems. Keep posting!! Any information is good information.

Yes I know ALL about thyroid issues.. I have them too. GRRR.. but yes.. I can see little "dimples" of muscles peeking through the top of my stomach.. and I can feel them underneath the skin/fat (?) on the bottom. I think I have a six pack hiding under there! LOL But THANKS gives me hope that maybe at least some of it is fixable.. MAN guys have it EASY! lol
