    Awesome! When is your race?
  • What does your training schedule look like? I trudged my way through one over winter break, but would like to actually do it correctly. Right now I can run 3 miles...so that is my starting point.
  • Me too - well, about the 10K part anyway. My training guide is calling for 5 miles this weekend - farther than I've ever run before. Should be interesting, especially since it looks like it might be in the rain!

Are you following a specific guide/schedule? I'm doing Hal Higdon's Novice 10K schedule.

    Hope your training goes well!

Here's the schedule I'm going to follow. The race is on April 30th. I've done several 5K's, so I think I have a good base to start with.

I HIGHLY recommend the Smart Coach on Runner's World (runnersworld.com)

It's free, but you do have to register at the site first (also free).

@ruddyrunner - I've also looked at Hal Higdon's program. Another good one!
