i have been eating so well for almost a week now (began on last Sunday) and i allowed myself a little treat...ben and jerry's americone dream. well, i did not go crazy and eat half the pint. i knew when to put down the spoon and i was completely satisfied! small accomplishments make my day!

That is awesome! I know as well as anyone how hard it is to have some of Ben Jerrys not all! That is a great accomplishment!

I don't think I've ever had Ben & Jerry's ice cream! Apparently, that's good after seeing what all of you are writing. If it's that good, I'd probably never put it down... lol Congrats on only eating some of it! Sweet stuff is always hard to stop eating.

That's what will sustain you later on and you won't gain any weight back. Double bonus!

I can't cut out ALL the good stuff! So a little treat here or there---figured into my calorie total of course--really helps me to stay on track with my regular meals. I am just trying to change slowly from average foods to healthy foods. ie...normal tortilla is 200 cals--change that to a wheat low carb tortilla= 80 cals. regular cheddar cheese =110 cals to fat free cheddar cheese=45 cals. That means I can still have cheese on my salads and chicken tacos. (I love cheese!)

I still want to enjoy my food :)
