Hey all. Like I said in the topic Im a stay at home mom. I have an 11 year old special needs child who goes to school during the day and an 18 month old baby at home full time. I've gotten into this really bad habit of just grabbing fast food instead of cooking at home. It started partially because we just moved and I'm struggling to unpack and get everything set back up and I've been in the habit for years of going to say McDonalds or Sonic to get a diet soda when my 11 year old gets out of school for a little caffeine boost but am not (obviously) purchasing more than that now. I have a wii fit and right now that seems to be the only way I can get much exercise in, except walking up and down the stairs with baby in tow or taking her for a walk. Im joining this site because I have never been as heavy as I am now not pregnant. I was 130lbs for years, even 4 months after having my 11 year old.

ANYWAY.. BLAH BLAH BLAH...

Im 28, 5'8" and done with gaining weight and being fat. Help!

Oh yeah, and my name is Jamie

Thank you, I could definitely use the support. I love my husband and he loves me very much but hes never going to say hes not happy with the way that I look and Im 30lbs heavier than when I met him. Alot of that is due to pregnancy but most is just due to bad choices and lack of activity.

If you can get thru the first 2 weeks of changes... I found that it gets easier from there. You will start to see results and feel better. I was pretty hungry and grumpy at first. LOL But it gets better! I have only lost 25 lbs and have a lot to go, but I am already back into clothes that haven't fit me in 4 years... THAT is a great feeling! Glad I hung onto them. Think about stuff like that when you feel like you're lacking motivation. :)

I'm new here too and have a special needs daughter in high school. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years, and understand the challenges! Hope we both do well, here!

This is a GREAT site! I found it 5 days ago, and it's already changed my life! I see losing weight completely differently now! Make sure to browse around at the various food and nutrition topics. They really helped me understand what is "healthy" and how to change my lifestyle!

    Hey Jamie,

I am in the same place you are. I have a 4 year old son and a 7 month old daughter. I have been struggling to take off the extra weight (from both pregnancies, lol) and finally have decided this is it!! Unfortunately I have PCOS which makes it harder to lose the weight. But WHATEVER!!! I joined almost 2 weeks ago...and have had a few moments when I regretted what I have eaten but it really makes you think have to write down everything you have had in the day. The hardest part for me is boredom eating, because I am home a lot. Feel free to "friend" me. Good Luck
