Hi! I remember reading some recipes for greek yogurt ice cream, but of course, now that I'm looking for them, I can't seem to find any! I tried google, but all their recipes have heavy whipping cream and full eggs and everything else unhealthy.

Could you guys share your recipes? This is my first time even trying greek yogurt, and I've very curious!

Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't consider eggs unhealthy...yeah the cream might have extra saturated fat...but anyway, since you are afraid of those things...

Just have to go through the search results enough to find one. :)

    PS - here's one for blueberry. http://www.deliciousdays.com/archives/2007/07/25/ice-cream-flavor-showdown/

I mix greek yogurt with dessert yogurt (for flavour) and a little bit of cool whip (95% fat free) and I use it as a fruit dip!!! its sooooo delicious. Greek yogurt on its own is very bitter but with some added flavour and thickness its either great on its own or as a dip. Not sure how you would make ice cream though. However the cool whip is the frozen kind so instead of letting it thaw out in the fridge you could mix it with the greek yogurt right away and make it really thick and cold like ice cream (maybe, never tried it that way)

Blend yoghurt, ripe banana, and honey (depending on how sweet your tooth is!), put in a freezer proof tub, freeze, and give it a stir every hour until you're happy with consistency.
I've only tried it once and was happy with the consistency though next time i'll probably tweak the banana/yoghurt ratio (yoghurt can be kind of sour) and add more honey!

I mix maybe about a half a cup of plain non fat greek yogurt with a tablespoon of sugar free dry pudding mix - whatever flavor you want. I've also done it adding in some pumpkin and spices, or some chopped up fruit or nuts for a garnish. It is more like a mousse though, and I haven't ever tried freezing it for an ice cream effect.
