what is it called to track calories that you burn while work

I am trying to find out what that thing is called I can buy to track how many calories I am burning while I am working out. I work out at home b/c I don't go to the gym and I have no clue how many true calories I am really burning...can someone please help me by telling me what this thing is called? thank you in advance!!!!!

You can use a Body Bugg or a heart rate monitor to get a pretty good estimate of what you're burning while you work out. HTH!

a pedometer tracks how many steps you take. A heart rate monitor would track your calories burned while working out

A body bug is what you wear all day, everyday to determine how much you burn. The HRM is pretty much just for work outs. At least...to my understanding.
