I very recently stopped drinking coffee/consuming caffeine (10 days). I assume withdrawal is over. I am going to do my best to cut out sugar, I am finding it everywhere. Any suggestions? What can I expect?
Thanks in advance.
Obviously thought I was in food and nutrition. Oh well, help me anyway, I obviously need it

I went cold turkey on soda pop back in Dec. 2009. I got headaches after a week. it went away after 2 days. I haven't drank pop since then. I have been tricked by evil friends to sip pop without my knowledge months later. I took a sip and immediately my forehead throbbed for about a minute. it also didn't help it was diet. lol0

I did this about a yr ago, I found a man who was saying you should have 15/g- of sugar a day and 6 servings of carbs...... Jorge Cruise , Look him up, even if just for food ideas... He has several books out called The Belly Fat Cure. His plan works, if you follow it! Ive gone off it since, I found that counting calories works better for me.....
Personally, I had really bad headaches for about a week..... I felt really sluggish the first couple of days.... but then after the headaches went away, I had so much energy, and it was NATURAL!! I slept so much better.... Good luck!!! :flowerforyou:0 -

I recently read that sugar isn't a physical addiction but more of a mental addiction. But the cravings are still real. Sugar is everywhere. I'm set at 30g and sometimes it is hard to stay in that. I don't count natural sugars found in fruit, veggies and milk.
I gave up soda last year but didn't suffer withdrawal because I still have coffee. I won't give up coffee. I don't drink it like I used to most days. But I don't use it to wake up. By the time I have it I'm already awake.0
