Hi, does anyone else have problems sticking with their diet on weekends? I do find all week long but on weekends it is so hard to stay with it. I think part of the problem is that during the week I'm distracted by work and I have my weight loss buddy here at work so we keep each other motivated but than the weekends come and there is all this tempation as I still have to go grocery shopping for my family.
How can I distract myself from thinking about food all weekend?

when you go grocery shopping, go when your full, not hungry. You won't buy as much junk. Also try and only shop around the perimeter of the stores.. that's where the healthiest stuff is. Avoid going in the middle isles as much as possible where the chips and pop and cookies are.0

I have hte same problem but I find if i have plenty of healthy options in the fridge & pantry I'm less likely to eat crap. Those 100 calorie packs of cookies & crackers etc are a GODSEND for me, I can have my "junk" but its not that bad.
And the rule about never go grocery shopping hungry? IT goes TRIPLE when your dieting!0 -
I just had this problem this past weekend. During the week, it's work and helping my kids with homework and stuff. I have too much time on my hands on the weekends and sometimes get togethers and it's Mardi Gras here, so Moonpies and family in town. ANyhoo, I think my best bet will be to only have healthy options in the house, so if I do indulge, it's only healthy foods. I have to tell my skinny husband to hide the junk and hide it well. I know his hiding spots!!!0

weekends are hard for me too. I just try to log through out the day so I stay on track. I also keep 100 cal packs and fruit around for snacking espically on rainy days like yeasterday when we had a movie marathon. I plan all my meals a head of tiem and it helps. I go over a lot on the weekends but it's uasually less than 200 calsw hich means I'm still under my bodies natural burn. Good Luck!0

with the extra time you have on your hands, cook a REALLY awesome healthy meal to enjoy and you won't be so tempted by everything else.0

I have no problems with the weekend. Plan your meals in advance and keep healthy options stocked in your house.0

What a great idea!! I also struggle on the weekends. Mostly because my boyfriend is home and isn't concerned with how he eats. We are typically always on the go so we don't have much time to make healthy meals. I think I will start trying to bring things along with me on our excursions so that when we stop at McDonald's, Olive Garden, etc., I won't overindulge.0 -
I really have the same problems on the weekend, but if you can try and keep yourself busy, find different things to do. Call your friends and go for a group walk or run. And stay focused it's hard but we can do it!!!! Were not going to let a little food take us away from our goals!!!!! If you need more support or advice add me as a friend!!! good luck you can do it!0
