Training for a triathlon and the last 15 just won't come off

I know that they say when you are training for an endurance event like a triathlon you are more likely to build the muscle as the fat is burning. It is also harder for your body to lose since it is constantly being pushed harder and harder. I am just saying it sucks! We will see how the weight is after I do my event. Anyone else know what I mean?

I have about 20 to lose and I just got serious about this about 1 1/2 months ago. I am training for a sprint tri and my weight hasn't budged! My clothes are all looser though. I am about to start taking measurements, as in, tonight or tomorrow lol. It is hard when I don't see anything on the scale!

No, you're not alone. I've been doing tri for several years and got serious about the weight last November. The first 9 came off relatively quickly, but I've been stuck on a plateau since the end of December. I'm trying to hang in there. I've got about 12 left to go and just cannot nudge that scale. It stays in the same 3 - 4 pound range day after day and week after week.

Strength training made a big difference for me. Try to hang in there. It does suck when the scale goes nowhere. You're on the right track to keep taking your measurements.
