Looking for some friends to help support and encourage each other during the ups and downs of military life. Doesn't matter who you are, what branch you serve, or if you're retired or active duty. :flowerforyou:
Look forward to meeting new people!!

I am a military spouse too. We will be on our way to Germany in June. Thanks for the post!0

Hey everyone! My name is Katie and I've been with my AD USAF husband for 12 years, married for 9 next month! We've been stationed in ND, WA, OK, and currently OH and only have 5 years left until retirement...wohoo!!
I've been maintaining my weight for a year, and no,not on purpose. Who knew those last 10lbs would be so hard to shed? LOL0 -
I am a military spouse too. We will be on our way to Germany in June. Thanks for the post!
How exciting!! I would have loved to go overseas just once, you get to see so much! Which base are you going to? I have a couple friends over there!
Thank you Adelle!
Ebg ~ we are in the same boat! So close to being done, exciting no?0 -

We will be stationed at Ramstein AFB. It's our second time in Europe, but the first was fifteen years ago. I'm sure lots has changed since then! Looking forward to the experience and the traveling though.0 -
Hello Military spouse here to AD Air Force! We have been married for over 19 years. Lived overseas in Europe for over 9 nine years. I am an island girl from Honolulu, HI ... I could not have asked for a more adventuous lifestyle in following my husband to his next duty station. I have friends all over the world that I keep in contact with on a normal basis! Love it!0
-
Katie ~ Wow!! That's a lot of moves! were you a 'brat' before? ;-P
Welcome Rosalie! I've been to HI once and absolutely loved it I also love having friends all over the world
Kimmi ~ My best friend from HS is there right now and isn't loving it. Especially with everything escalating the way it is, they get to move back to the states in June and she is so excited0 -
Can it only be new friends or do ones you already know count?
I can always use some new friends to help keep me motivated. Hubby leaves on Friday for a 6 month deployment, it will only make it tougher to loose the weight.
I am an AF brat then I married back into it! DH has been in for over 15 years and we have been married for 12 years on the 20th. We have 4 boys ages 10 years to 5 months and they keep me pretty busy. We met when my dad got orders to New Mexico & my husband was sationed there. Then we got orders to Germany for 4 1/2 years back to the states, Texas and now we are stationed in Idaho.
I am hoping to really lose some weight this time, I haven't been doing to well since the birth of #1. Since giving birth to baby #4 I have lost almost 40lbs & am about to reach my 1st goal weight but I hope to get off atleast another 20lbs while hubby is gone.0 -
God bless you and your husband! THANK YOU!0

I am an Army wife stationed at Ft. Bragg. My DH leaves for another year long deployment in May leaving behind me and 3 little ones. Hoping to be HAWT when he returns!0

Army wife of 18 yrs here and mother of 2 teens...stationed at Grand Forks AFB in ND. Husband is an ROTC instructor at UND. Just got back from Germany. Where about are you going to be Kimmi? I loved it there and wish i could go back..but we've already hit 20yrs in and it's not likely. Love the idea of military wives supporting each other on here Hooah!0

Lived in Hawaii for 3 yrs. Really really miss L&L's hot macaroni salad.. that stuff was soooo yummy!!
Katie- Actually, not looking forward to him retiring so soon. With this economy, he would be better off extending his retirement. We have talked about doing just that a few times, but it isn't set in stone just yet. I am totally jealous you are in Ohio- that is where I am from and we just spent two years stationed there, about 15mins from where I grew up. I want to go back home so bad0 -
Christi ~ Of course you can join Welcome aboard!
Thanks Jamie!
Leah ~ a year? so so hard! You will be HOT when he returns!! (of course you are already beautiful!)
Chroi ~ I am so excited to go back home to ND you have no idea! My friend is getting married in may
Eb~ We LOVE it here! Especially coming from Altus AFB, Ok...this is heaven! Hubby is going through AFIT so we on have one more year left before they move us somewhere else. We are so blessed that he gets to get a Master's degree while in, because he can't do his job outside of the Air Force. Hoping the economy is better in 5 years, because he is very unlikey to stay past 200 -
Hey everyone. My Name is Natalie, i'm 26 & have been married for almost 6 years. My husband is in the Air Force. We have 3 small kids together. Our son is 5 and our daughter are 3 and 7 months old.
If anyone wants to add me go ahead! I joined MFP in January but not really just getting started on the site.
We're in Texas right now but awaiting orders, we're due to move in 10 months0 -
I am a AF (retired)daughter and AF(discharged)sister and Navy(active TO reserve) wife and Navy(active AND reserve)sister.... lol. Anyone can feel free to add me as a friend! The more friends, the more support. I've currently found myself making better fitness choices and hitting bigger fitness goals than my Sailor...and it's (for lack of a better word) AWESOME! I plan on running circles around him by the end of the year and at this rate I could be there before summer. LOL0

Gosh, I didn't realize we were all out there hiding!
Army wife for a long long time, 2 year to retirement, yea, and only one more deployment to go!
We have been to CA, NC, SC, GA, KY, TX . Didn't get the chance to go overseas but had a baby in almost every state! LOL. Hopefully staying in TX the rest of the time, let the older one finish high school.
Thanks for this Kat!0 -
You go girl!! That is awesome!0

Hello,
Im an Army Brat and the wife of a US Marine. But soon to be Army wife...My huband will be changing branches come May (after 5yrs with USMC). I would love to meet more wifes that understand this life we live. I would also love anyones input on what changes I should be expecting while making the change from Marin Corps spouse to Army Spouses0 -
I am an Air Force mom! My son is stationed at Andrews in D.C. I just wanted to pop in and say thank you! thank you! to all of the military and their families. I am so proud of all who serve and the sacrifices they make!0
-
Katie ~ Wow!! That's a lot of moves! were you a 'brat' before? ;-P
Yes I was... My dad was Navy for 26 years, so majority of the moves I have are from him. Only one with the Army so far. I love being around the military! I actually lead remedial PT for my husbands platoon and they all call me "the Devil" because I make them work so hard- LOVE IT!
To all the Germany folks, we were stationed in Stuttgart for three years and then we also did a year in England while my dad attended the Royal War College- Take advantage of EVERYTHING you can while overseas, because so many Americans don't!0 -
My husband has been in the Navy for 16 1/2 years. We're currently stationed in San Diego. He goes to shore duty in august and I was hoping we'd get to go to WA but he got orders to stay here. We've been married for 15 years. Together for 18 though so I've been with him through this whole Navy thing. Not fun but I absolutely adore that man so I deal with it. Lol0

Hi All!
I am an AD USAF spouse and 101/2 year veteran myself. Currently we are in Germany (i was at Stuttgart, but now we are together at Ramstein). I have been in AZ, Korea, TX and WA. I got out to spend more time with my daughter, so I substitute teach now and recently started working as a Beachbody Coach due to my love for fitness. I also have my Personal Training Certification and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition Cert.
Glad to meet you all!0 -
Hi everyone it seems we have a good bit in common =]
I am a proud wife of a US Marine, who has my whole heart. He is currently an instructor. I am also a daughter of a US Marine. My dad spent 23 years in and has kept the attitude to this day! My sister is also married to a Marine and their daughter was born on the USMC birthday =]
So as you can see it runs deep LMAO
When DH deployed for the second time I was down to 187, but gained like 10lbs by the time he got home. Right now I weigh 191 which is over 20 lbs lost since the begining of this year. My weight loss has slowed down and I feel discouraged. Actually Sat was my birthday party and yesterday was my actual birthday so Ive been eating like a little piggy those two days, but I learned self control so I dont feel so so bad... But still not seeing the scale move even though Im excersising and eating good is disheartning.
My next goal is to be smaller than I was when he deployed. So ladies feel free to add me so we can support each other!!!
Oh btw since we all have access to gyms, try talking to the front desk people about a trainer, you might be wait listed, but its free!!! Both bases we have been to (one marine base one navy base) offer this service!
Thanks and God bless!0 -

Where in Germany are you going? We're currently in Stuttgart, Germany. My husband is active duty Air Force. I am an Air Force veteran.0 -
Morning Ladies,
Hubby is off doing his final out processing as I sit here and type. He leaves bright and early Friday morning. It seems like it just snuck right up on us. We knew it was coming then bam here it is. I think that even though our 3rd boy is only 1 1/2 he really knows that something is going on with daddy cause he won't let him out of his sight for a moment & has a complete meltdown everytime he walks out the door. I think between him and our 3 year old who are both major daddy's boys that will be the hardest part. I know that all 4 of them will keep me so busy that I won't have to much time to think about it. That and the fact that I have met some really great ladies here and made some good friends since we moved here so that will help. I have been so bad about eatting & haven't worked out at all this last week. Figured it was more important to spend time with hubby and out boys and just enjoy ourselves. I will get back on track once he is gone, I know I will be looking forward to those workouts for the stress release! And so glad I will have support from some ladies who will understand what I am going through!0 -
Hello, I will be an Army spouse in 45 days! I am giving up a 6 year career, selling my house, and moving 2 states over for the love of my life and his kids. We are old highschool sweethearts and hadn't spoke in 18 years. I found him on facebook in May and we're getting married 11 months to the day later.
Wish me luck cause all this stress is making me want to eat all the time!0 -
