Sometimes I wish food didn't make me so darn happy.

I've been pretty strict with myself for the last 2 months. Have had a few bad days, but all in all I'm happy with how I've done. I just think it's funny how I soooo look forward to certain foods I eat each day. Popchips & Trader Joe's 100-cal oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are the highlight of my day, and I know, I know, I KNOW!!!! they're "processed." Processed might be a bad word, but damned if it doesn't get me through all of the organic turkey breast & kale I have to eat to get there. :happy:

I am all for someone creating a magic pill that contains all the nutrients and caloric levels to fill me up, take one pill per meal, and VOILA! solution to eating!
But then I realized that I love my chocolate too much, and a world without chocolate is no world at all.
so maybe a pill for my meals and then I can choose the dessert I want to eat!0 -
Were we all raised by mother's who shoved food at us when we were sick, sad, worried, stressed. I learned at my mother's knee that food equals comfort and it's a hard lesson to unlearn.0

I like hot sauce [and I mean HOT] on my food. It makes me almost stop eating it because it's so damn hot...but I love it. Then the bubble guts may or may not kick in...Lol.0

Read my mind exactly and saved me trouble of replying..LOL ... in a perfect world that's exactly what I'd do! think of all the extra time you'd have, not having to shop/prepare/cook/ even think about about food again (apart what's your current fave choccie bar) - and all the spare cash you'd have to spend on massages / holidays/ cashmere sweaters .. lol0 -
I don't think that processed foods are to bad for you in moderation. As a busy world we consume to much processed food. We want the quick and easy and after a while it is to much for our natural bodies to handle.

Why doesn't someone invent that? A pill you take 20 mins before a meal and makes everything taste yukky enough that you don't want to eat any more than you absolutely have to???? Whoever invented that would be richer than Gates, Branson and whoever-that-Apple-guy-is put together.
I once ate what turned out to be some slightly 'off' nuts/seeds mix and that's exactly what happened - *everything* tasted horrible for 4 days - I really didn't want to eat much. :ohwell:0 -
Yes very hot sauce loaded onto 3-4 tortilla chips is very happy food.
It causes the endomorphins to kick in and kills hunger for hours0 -
I was told at one point in my life that if i wanted something i should eat it. Because if you deny yourself that something then it will turn into binge eating. But I have not been able to follow that because once i have it i want more of it. I am a food aholic. I love food, sweet, salty, spicy, all of it but that is how I am where I am now. SO hopefully i will be able to change that and just limit the intake of food. I live healthy but I like processed to and processed is easier guess i need to stop taking the easy way out.0
