I am exploring the world of Personal Trainer Certifications, I am wondering if someone can steer me in a good direction. There seem to be so many out there, do any of them stand out? Are there any to avoid? I am looking to gain a certification, just for clarification, not choose a new trainer.

I would start at the American College of Sports Medicine website and go to their personal trainer certification section.
They are a reputable program.

I'm certified through AFAA http://www.afaa.com It's a great certification and all of the gyms around here that I know of will accept the certification for employment.
Other good one are ACE and NASM. Good luck!~0 -
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the information!0
