Uh Oh.... the weekend is here. :frown:

This is the hardest part of the week for most of us, try to plan ahead, keep healthy snacks with you and make sure to get at least one day of exercise in.

My plan for the weekend included my 4.5 mile run today and body pump and a 3 mile run tomorrow and sunday body pump and relax with hubby (his only day off is sunday).

I am planning meals for next week as soon as I am done with this post. I know if I plan and prepare all the food for next week I will eat at home and I can control what I am putting in my mouth. It isn't always easy to do this, even though I work from home, but I have to make the time.

Good luck to all of my black team members and the other biggest loser challengers. :flowerforyou:

OH, I almost forgot, we have two new members:

Vonalj and Anna_Banana!

Grrrrrrr.....I guess I was getting the upcoming weekend out of my system because I went on an eating binge after lunch! I haven't went over my calories but I am right on the line! So..I know what I have to do..I have to get my hand outta the chips bag (I hereby forever HATE Sour Cream & Onion chips) and get my hiney into gear! I'm going to do my cardio video and ride my stationary bike and earn some calories for a LIGHT dinner.

Hey team, make sure to respond to canelitas mail if you plan on staying part of the challenge. I get where she is coming from. If you no longer want to take part just let me know and I will give her a list. I think most of us are doing great so far and I hope no one else wants to drop out of the challenge. I know I have found it motivating.

thanks and good luck :glasses: :flowerforyou:
  • Hey all

I thought i was on the blue team but it says I am on the black team so. I wanted to introduce myself.

I have lots of events before the end of the year and I have been trying to loose weight for over a year now, I will lose then something will happen and well you know. The year is comming to an end really fast and I do not want to go into 2009 being overweight or obesse.

I am a mommy of one 14 month old, I stay at home with her and I watch 2 kids in my house 3 days a week and my husband and I own a business, and with starting our new business my husband has lost 2 pant sizes this past month. I am 22 and I feel like I am 40. I am ready for my youth back.

I am glad that I finally figured out where to look for team postings...well, Canelitas told me:wink:
I am prepared for the weekend, Sunday is my day off and I am no longer doing "Cheat Days" but I do plan to have a little "Off" plan food.
Things are going great recently, I hope that I can keep up the momentum:happy:

I am getting ready to take the kids to the county fair..this should be interesting!:noway: I am taking my lunch so I'm not tempted to have all the bad, bad, bad fair food! I'm going to get in tons of walking!!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!:flowerforyou:
  • We are meeting my sister and kids at the outlet mall, good and bad.... Good walking and puching a stroller! Bad spending money and Bad eating lunch out. And I know we are going to Jonny Rockets oldies resturaunt. I am very nervous right now.
  • Hey everyone. I too am struggling with the weekend. I alreay ate horribly on Friday, when Sunday is supposed to be my "lax" day. I didn't have a good week so I always turn to food. I hate being a stress eater. It doesn't help when your husband is being a boy ;), and my niece went to the emergency room...and and and... I also hurt my pinky toe about two weeks ago and can just now wear a shoe that isn't a flip flop. So naturally no working out and I went up in pounds this week so I'm just all over feeling down... I know it's a new day but it's hard to change old patterns...anyway I just really wanted to vent. Thanks for listening and I know you are all rock stars so have an AMAZING weekend.

  • Hi black team! I am new to the team and wanted to introduce myself!
My name is Brandy. I am from Massachusetts. I am married with 2 children (boy~9 and girl~4.) I am aiming to lose 36 pounds total. It may be a bit of a stretch considering my body likes me 26 ponds lighter. We will see! I work nights and weekends... yukk! My eating is not a huge challenge when I put my mind to it. My challenge is getting my butt to exercise AND I enjoy endulging on cocktails :drinker: esp. on Sundays. We are big football season entertainers. So with that said... I could use some encouraging through this. Thats why we are here, right :)

hopeful1~ would you believe that I, too, hurt my toe about 2 weeks ago! It is the 1 next to my pinky. I went for x-rays... and was told no fracture. You know it hurts like a mother though! I was out of work for it and just started work again on Thursday. SO I feel ya there!!! Keep your head up when things look down. You will soon thank yourself for it! If you have a bad meal... drink a TON of water for the rest of the day. It doesn't cure... but it surely helps! Good luck this weekend!

    *hugs* :flowerforyou:
    Brandy
  • Just to put it out here. My goal by December 2nd should be 160. It is a realistic goal if I factor in about a 2 pound loss per week. My ultimate goal is 145.
    Thanks, Brandy

Wow! Look at all the posts! Way to communicate black team:drinker:

Well, I thought we lost cwilson715 but we found her wandering on another path! so welcome her back to the black team!

Also, we have two new members:
jnb0203 and pandora3799, welcome to the black team.

Ok, so the weekend is in a full sprint as I write so I hope everyone is out there enjoying their free time but keeping in mind your goals and how you can have fun and enjoy festivities and still reach your goals!

That said, everyone have a great weekend and remember, including today there are only 3 days left until weigh ins start (4 if you weigh in on Wednesdays)! As a quick reminder, please weigh in on Tuesday or Wednesday morning so I can post team results by lunch time. If I don't get weigh ins by then I will post your previous weight as your current weight in an effort to get the results out on Wednesday instead of Thursday.

    GO BLACK TEAM:glasses:
  • I just got back from shopping at the outlet mall its an outdoor mall and I think we walked the whole thing, and its pretty huge. Shopping calories day I burned like 600 calories should I still do my billy blanks? My daughter is sleeping becuase she missed her nap, I have at least an hour before I wake her up so I have plenty of time. But I am so tired.

    What should I do?

Oh, I wish I would have caught you earlier. I did my 4 mile run and then went out shopping with my daughter for 6 hours and now my feet are killing me! I would say your walking was enough, especially if you are tired, you can use this information for next time
  • Oh, I am a BAD girl!

I got into the hot tub with hubby after work and ended up drinking 4 bacardi silver mojitos!:drinker: They were yummy:heart: ... but I just looked and it says on here that they are around 220-235 calories each!!!! :brokenheart: Thats over 2 meals worth of cals for me!!! UGH! I guess I should have bought something else. Other than that... my eating was very much in control.. I had 86 calories to spare. I was down on my water today. So a little personal goal... 1 gallon by dinner tomorrow. AND as soon as I get up I will be planning for the day.
    Talk to you all tomorrow!!!

you all ROCK! What a super duper motivational team leader you have, don't take that girl for granted:noway:

....trying to follow your lead and get our purple folks posting as supportive as you all do.

:flowerforyou: You're a great example of a close knit team....

Just poppin in to say GO BLACK TEAM GO!:drinker: :drinker:

Thanks for being such a super example to all 3 of our teams:yawn: :flowerforyou:
  • Well yesterday I did do billy blanks tae bo, I only got 25 minutes before my daughter woke up. Which is good because I felt like I did more then just shop. Plus we ate pizza last night for dinner because my husband didn't get home till almost 8 and he had been working since 6 and thats what he wanted. I was really good I only ordered one pizza and I made a beautiful salad then I still ended up eating 2 peices and it was like 900 calories. I wanted to throw up afterwards I was so upset with myself.

So during the week I drink a slimfast for breakfest and a yougart so I wanted real breakfest this morning, so I made my favorite eating out breakfest meal at home, well it ended up being more calories then I planned, I am going to check my calculations but I think I am already do 450 calories for the day. This wouldn't be a problem on a busy day but I am so sleepy today and I feel like its going to be a relax day.

    Have a good day everyone!

Well, we were at the fair for 11 hours yesterday..I'm sure 9 of them were spent walking...

I did really well for the first 4 or 5 hours...then the bottom kind of fell out! I tried to be good...

I had some frozen strawberries (not telling you they were covered in chocolate:devil: )....and a steakburger with ONIONS only..no condiments...so that was an improvement:bigsmile: ....umm..I had some french fries...I felt an artery stop up...and 2 SMALL pieces if chocolate fudge w/walnuts! I did avoid the fried veggies..my favorite....not that it matters at this point! Anyhow, we had a WONDERFUL time...

I'm chugging water today to get rid of the sodium bloat & we are on our way out the door to walk our 3 miles...maybe 4 if I push it!

Oh, on another good note..I have convinced hubby to join the dark side and change his diet. He is doing things a bit different than me. He is going to do the Hallelujah diet challenge and go raw for 10 days. I thought of trying it with him...I still may...but I blew it today, I had a fiber one bar for breakfast.

Good Sunday to all of you!

Losing I had not heard of the hallelujah challenge before, sounds interesting. You did pretty good at the fair, considering temptation was probably every 3 feet

Cwilson, way to go on the billy banks even though you were tired. I know my feet are still ticked off at me for the run and shopping of yesterday.

Well, my sunday will be wrapped up once I take the kids to get their halloween costumes. I know, it's not even oct yet but we get a little too into halloween and we decided to go early and get our costumes this year so we can get the best picks!

Today is a rest day for me,my body is telling me to ease up. I increased my cardio a ton this week, I don't know if that will show on the scale this week because I have had a couple of days of too many calories, and not of good food but coffees! grrr me. :grumble: Anyway, I have a few days left to kick my butt so I will do two last chance workouts, one monday and one tuesday!

finish your lovely weekends everyone and gear up for the weigh in !
  • Well we had our 3rd child's First Birthday this weekend....and seeing as he is my third and final child we went all out. We treated our entire family both sides to a huge meal at Pizza Hut, followed by not 1 but 2 cakes here at our home.
I didn't over do it toooooo much although I have to admitt I wasn't counting calories either.

But I do think that running after and entertaining 19 people for hours and hours might count for some sort of excersice.....lol

Needless to say we had a wonderful weekend celebrating our son's First Birthday and being surrounded by our family so I am going to count it as a huge success regarless if it end's in a + instead of a - .

Well heading out for a family walk...........lots of luck this week.......Go team Black!!!!!!
  • Shelly~ So great to hear that you had such a great day for the baby's birthday. I agree that entertaining is definitely a workout! ESP. if you have a hubby like mine. He just attends our functions if you know what I mean! :)

Today was awesome. I got a great workout in AND stayed completely on plan. YEAH me! I can't wait to see the thin Brandy!

    Talk to you girls tomorrow!

  • Today will be day 7 of working out and burning at least 600 calories a day. And I am litterly not losing any weight. I am so frustrated and this is exactly why I give up and can't lose weight.

Everyday my husband is looking thinner and thinner and I fell and look like a fat cow. My husbands birthday is this Saturday and had a goal I have had like 10 goals and like everyother goal I make I am not going to get it.:embarassed:

    Any suggestion pills? Drinks? Anything?
  • CWILSON~ I do not have any suggestions other than what you probably already know. Drink LOTS of water. Try to get 8 servings of fruits and veggies a day. At least 4 of them should be veggies. I feel for you, honey. Back in January, I did the same thing. I was working out like a fool and saw no results on the scale. I was discouraged and gave up. It got me no where. Maybe you should stick to mainly cardio until you see the scale moving. I do not know if that is good advice... but it is my plan. I want to focus on cardio until I get much smaller; then I can focus on toning up a little more on top of the cardio. Also my doctor said that when it comes to weight loss 80% is FOOD and 20% is EXERCISE. He said to be healthy... you must do both; but food is key.
I am not a pro... but these are my opinions. I hope this helps you. Please do not get discouraged and give up. This is a long journey that we are all embarking on. You are worth the effort. *BEAR HUG*

  • pandora3799- you are very right, I do need to add in more fruits, I do a salad at lunch and dinner and a 2nd veggies normally at dinner. I love fruit and my daughter eats one at every meal. I don't know why I don't. I am going to the store tommorow. The last 2 days I will say I haven't gotten in a ton of water. But normally I do. I am doing Billy Blanks amplifed. Mostly cardio, I was feeling better but then I saw nice my husbands body is looking and how horrible mine looks.... Just really my stomach, I have strech marks every which way from my pregancy that I think my skin was streched to the max. Anyway I really just want to lose inches I really dont care how much I weight. As long as I am seeing an inch loss. I did my inches a week ago today and I was thinking about taking them agian today but I dont want to get discouraged.

Anyways time to exercise. Have a great day everyone.

Just popping in to say hey. Can't wait for my first weigh in. I'm glad to be part of your team. I'll give you guys a little info on me. I'm 34 (almost 35) have a hubby and 3 kids, Savannah 12, Mirandah 10 and Branigan 8. I tried to keep my self in pretty good shape until I was 29 and had to have a complete hystrecomy and all the hormonal changes wrecked havoc on my body and I put on 50 pounds. So now I'm here to take it off. I've lost quite a bit since I've been on here and I'm hoping being on a team where I have to report my weight lose will help me shed the rest.

We live on a farm in the center of southern nebraska, and have tons of animals, and we are always on the run. Having this website has helps me keep focused on my weight lose.

First weigh in for the new month is coming up tomorrow...I am a bit apprehensive, because after doing fantastic since last week, I got completely derailed yesterday food wise....
today I am sticking to my plan and doing a new workout.
Hoping that my number changes at least a little bit.
