I'm finding it tough to balance eating well without restricting calories too much. I really would like to drop 10lbs but I'm not cutting back too much on my calories. I'm just trying to workout more hoping i'll see some results. My breastmilk is more important right now ;)

I'm working out 5-6x's week. I have 1 & 1/2 hr for lunch so that we can exercise so that is great me time!!!!

QOTD - I personally have a tough time staying away from sugar!!!!! If I have even one bite I'm in for a rough day because I'll crave it all day long...............I try to eat fruit to get my sweet tooth satisfaction.

Doing good! Workouts are going great. I haven't avoided any foods.

For those that have breastfed before did your appetite decrease once you stopped?

Baby E is 2 1/2 months old and since she was four weeks old she's had an intolerance to something I'm eating. I started by eliminating dairy and soy...didn't improve her belly but I've still stayed clear while also removing gluten, nuts and eggs. It's just been in the last day or so that I've seen any improvement in her stool so I'm certain it's got to be gluten and/or nuts. With all that said, I'm eating less than I'd like to b/c I'm so limited. I have 40 more LBS to lose (gained 85 with a new desk job and pregnancy)!!! I'm walking daily but am concerned that I'm not eating enough and it may be detrimental to my milk supply. I am eating a TON of fruits, salads, chicken, rice and corn. My sweet craving is satisfied by sorbet....I'm spending way too much money at Whole Foods these days!!! How many calories SHOULD I be eating? This program doesn't seem to take in to account BF mama's....or did I miss something?

Forgot to mention, I am doing a 4g or less sugar challenge. Besides fruit I don't eat anything with more than 4g sugar per servin

Hey! Could I join in?? I have a 6 month old (tomorrow!! oh my) and I'm looking to lose about 25 more pounds. I'm working out 3-4 times a week and trying to be good with food but I find myself sooooooo hungry on days I work out. Like I can't get enough food. I have a major sweet tooth and crave chocolate so that has been tough.

graynor: If you search in Food you can find "nursing mother" and add on and extra 300-500 calories into your food diary. I always add 300 but the younger your baby is (especially one that isn't yet eating solids, the more you should go with) Try 500 and if you aren't losing any weight then go down to 300. Hope that helps!!

Thats exactly what I use too. My daughter is 6 months old and she is just now trying foods but is 99.9% on breastmilk. I use the 500 calorie allowance but once she starts tolerating the food I will decrease to a lesser amount.

Hello. I am new to this and have a 7.5 month old and weaning him currently..... ugh! I tried to start exercising in January and got discouraged because I was never moving the scale down! Did/does anyone feel that breastfeeding made them hold weight on?
