Hi everyone!
I joined this site a while ago as an iPhone app, but just recently realized that there is this whole online community that goes along with it! I think it would be nice to meet some people who are also trying to lead healthier lives using MFP. I'm 23 years old, female, and a medical student in Philly. My weight loss goal is not that big (current weight is 127 and goal weight is ~119 lbs). I have always wanted abs, but never actually achieved that goal even at my really low weight (~110 lbs) when I was still in high school. I gained some weight when I started medical school, and recently I made the decision not to let studying rule my life and to make health a priority as well (I mean, who wants to take advice from an unhealthy doctor, right?). I'm training for a half-marathon coming up in 3 weeks, and the exercise has given me lots of stress relief while studying for exams! I actually ran 12 miles this Saturday, which I never thought was possible! I used to buy a pack of ice-cream bars before every exam and eat all of them in one day, but now I'm trying to make exercise the predominant stress relief instead of food. So far, so good, but I do have slip-ups about once a week and am trying to get more control of that (i.e., not eat 1000 calories over my daily calorie goal...haha). Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone would like to friend me, and perhaps give me some tips on how to get those coveted abs? I'll put a pic up soon, but I'd better get back to studying (exam this Friday, ahhhh!!).

Welcome. I actually have terrible abs but I've got 30 lbs to lose. Have you thought about p90x? Lots of people claim excellent results although I find it a huge commitment and have a hard time doing it.0
